Can someone advise of Corolla GLI 1.3 is better or Altos 1.6?

I am looking to buy a new car on lease. Can someone advise if I should go for Corolla 1.3 GLI M/T or 1.6 Altis A/T?

1.6 is better. as 1.3 gli automatic is underpower , but if u want manual then gli .

The price difference between 1.6 and grande A/T is just 4 lac but features you get are enormous. If you are going for lease re think on this line also. Otherwise choice is yours.
As far as gli and 1.6 is concerned, definitely 1.6 is better choice.

Gli 1.3 is really under powered and also pathetic mileage. Go for Altis 1.6 one of the best in Corolla range.

What's the difference in fuel consumption?

And I am also in this dilemma but choosing 1.3 auto purely because of its lower taxes/tokens (non-filer) and it would be city driven. I don't care about fancy rims or side skirts or a better engine. I just want a comfortable car, and comfort is same in both. Beside the only feature I really wanted was the led lights which aren't being offered in 1.6

if you are so worried about fuel consumption...why dont you go for city.....it is more fuel efficient and reasonably comfortable......

1.6 altis is best option in all of corolla line but 1.3 gli is really under-powered plus that engine and silencer vioce combined due to powerlessness is very irritating tbh.

1.6 Altis, and if you really wanna buy manual than
Altis 1.8 6 speed manual.
Fuel economy of all corolla variants is more or less the same within city, while 1.8 variants gives better fuel economy on highway and motorways

Have altis 1.6 2017 for 5 months...use attock petroleum...original tyres...never gives more than 9.6km/l within city with A.c....Eco mode keeps RPM at 2k

Same was my issue, It was hard for me to make a choice between 1.3 Gli and 1.6 Altis, but after a lot of thought and reluctantly i booked 1.6 Altis after reading recommendations here. One thing which did not made me happy was that this time corolla has installed 16 inch alloy rims instead of 15 inch on model before face lift. If someone would agree or not, these tires will degrade the fuel efficiency and original pick of this vehicle.
