yes i did in February 2016 but i had gone too far before doing stud conversion and now Engine developed Oil rings problem and blows oil like a house hold water pump

its been almost 10 months now, i paid 500 per stud and i think cultus has 6 screws so i paid 3000 for studs and 300 to my mechanic for disassembling engine.

to my peanut knowledge unless the head is properly torqued with block after rework, car heat up & ultimate gaskit blow occur very often @xulfiqar may suggest some 'foreign' technology of re-threading a block which MAY work a little while before block replacement is needed.

I'm not the expert, but i think something called helicoil might do the trick.

I have watched videos of helicoils and thread inserts. They are permanent solutions but not available in Pakistan.

Ps. Went to market today and whole assembly of g10a was for 55k

10months of summer. No hgk leaks. I think this method is fine.
Ps it has 8 total on 3cyl.
4 of mine require the job

yes this is what happening here. head is not getting properly torqued hence compression leakage and in end gasket kaboom

Mehroz bro i also have the same problem with my cultus and wanted to swap G15 please guide me where to get healthy engine and what would be the reasonable price for that.

which one is easy on maintenance, g15a or g16b. i think g15 had coils burn issue, if i am not mistaken
g16b is popular among cultus swaps

g15/g16/g13bb/g10b all have no maintenance at all except for valve clearance adjustments after 15-20k kms.. if i were you,,i would be choosing g15 with a dizzy.even g16 is available with coils on top

if helicoil is doable, you can probably get it fixed in lahore

Installing thread inserts by drilling the boltholes over sized and then cutting new threads for the thread inserts to screw into is a very simple matter.Its better to dismantle the block prior doing this job and handover the block to any well known machining shop to perform this job.

Sir, are you familiar with common term for thread inserts these mechanics and machinists uses?
i am sure they wound not understand thread inserts

Every good machinist is familiar very well with inserts.However in desi term you can say choodi walla bush(Threading bush).

its not just about the engine bro its about getting rid of faulty curb and some other missing vacuum pipes and valves. previous owner was a jerk.
