In season locals setup tent village in Naran, but its early and season hasn't started yet. Nights will still be cold and temperature might touch 0 during nights.
You can get very cheap accommodation in Naran these days,They have setup rooms in containers. 1000 or even less per night for a big room with attached washroom.
Getting your own food is an excellent idea, I always take home cooked food and get it tinned for 100 rs.per tin or freshmate but I never carry gas cylinder as it can be dangerous.
Take all the disposable plates, cups, spoons etc and don't ask the ladies to cook or do the dishes as they are going to have some fun as well and I think they need a break too from these duties which they perform daily.
You just need to put the can or pouch in boiling water for few minutes to warm the food. You can get water boiling facility at almost everywhere, I also have 12v immersion water heater, and electric kettle to boil the water if no such facility is available.
for tea and coffee I believe we should buy it from local people, as in those areas many people depend on the income from tourists...
Best of luck for the trip.
