Can we get a car on rent without driver in Gigit (Hunza/Skardu)

Can anyone share a lead to get a car/jeep on rent without driver in Gilgit/Skardu?

Renting a self-drive car in Gilgit/Skardu is definitely possible. A few places to check include:

• Zarud Tours in Gilgit. I think they do self-drive rentals.
• Jubilee Motors near the bus station in Gilgit also rents out 4x4s sometimes without a driver.
• You may have better luck in Skardu finding someone renting directly from their home/business. Ask around at guesthouses when you arrive.

The roads can be rough in parts so a sturdy 4x4 is best. Make sure to get info on road conditions for your route too. Safe travels!

For Zarud Tours, try this number - 0346-5768601. Their office is located near the Gilgit bus station.

Jubilee Motors, the number I have is 05811-210748. Their showroom is also near the bus station.

From what I understand foreign nationals typically need their passport and a rental agreement to rent a self-drive car up there. Maybe also confirm what type of international driver's permit is required, if any. Have a safe trip!
