Hi All,

"Can we run Pioneer 308d2 on a 2 channel amp @ 1 Ohm (stable) with 400rms?"

which amp is it? 2channel amp stable @1ohm? never heard of it....confirm its stability before connecting your woofer...or else bye bye to your amp

if the amp is stable @1ohm you can use 308d2 by connecting both coils in parallel..

if the is not stalble@1ohm connect both coils in series and use it on 4ohm configuration at bridge mode...

yeah we r run 2 D4 sub but the amp cnt bang da subs cos each sub hv 400rms so minimum rms pwr 800rms honi chahiyae takay amp proper bajay subs ko

talha bhi mairay khayal say ab mono amp ke tym gaya coz ab hu main subwoofer ke option ati hay to bass wahan say cntrol ho jati hay ap kia khtay ho

^^bro mono amps r not just to control subwoofer option....

it is to provide proper power "efficiently" to the sub...nothing is better then mono amp for woofer(s)

i have a 2 channel amp that is 0.5 ohms stable on stereo and 1 ohm stable on mono. packs quiet a punch at 1 ohms too. i have another amp that the manufacturer states will work on anything short of a short circuit. both are reputable amps from reputable manufacturers

its a 2 channel BOSCH amp. My friend is selling that amp for Rs.5.5k.

I have the below items:

1) Pioneer 5050ub
2) Kenwood 718 (one pair)
3) Solid Audio 2 channel amp (for speakers)
4) Pioneer 308d2
5) Bosch 2 channel amp (still havent bought)

I am confused whether a 2 channel Bosch amp can run Pioneer 308d2 sub?

The friend was saying that he will connect my Pioneer 308d2 with 2 channel Bosch amp @ 1 ohms.

Just wanted to know is it possible ?

no bro if ur friend even connects the sub on 1 ohm, it might play for a while before going POOF!!. ask your friend if he is going to wire the sub in parallel or series

he informed d2 1 ohm per wire karonga...parallel ya series ka kya karna hai. Dono mai wire kar saktay hai.

well either u didnt get what he said or he's talking non sense... d2 means that each of the coil has a 2ohm impidence i.e u can run the sub at either 1ohm or 4ohm load (on the amp). per wire ka koie scene he nahe hai :s
parallel and series is what determines how much load ur amp will take and hence how much power it will give out. any amp can be given any load, but if its not rated "STABLE" at that load IT WILL BURN!!!
