It is because I seek perfection. Other than that it never ended money of you are of type just drive. Anyway there is factor for learning everywhere for me. When is your friend getting his ac done? If he can hurry I may keep the scale for few more days for his use

never cover the high side, its shedding a little bit of heat as it goes to the txv, If it comforts you then add a layer of insulation to the low side, but it wont be substantial.

for the loading up, remove some refrigerant from it and retest. Not more than 20 grams

Following is iced pipe at ac(not auto) 18 deg setting ambient 24 with 83.% humidity. Blower set to lowest speed. If I increase blower speed ice goes away
Note the ice is dense near compressor and less dense near txv. It started near compressor rubber.

Same is the case with me. Seeking perfection often makes my nights restless - thinking reasons of problems occured and then searching 'cost effective' solutions - since i am student with limited pocket money [emoji14]

Anyhow about the friend, honestly i don't know when he will get his ride done he's kind of careless person i will suggest you not to wait for him. I will surely contact you if he asks/wants me to help him.

Full Speed Blower= Ice Go Away = Full Load On Evap To Condense

Low Speed Blower = Ice Remains = Not Fully Load ON Evap= Freezing

Roger that. Yesterday cleaned map. It was not that dirty but doing that fixed that load problem. Don't know why it comes back

The blue line is where i checked the gap between clutch and pressure plate(i hope i pointed it out correctly) which is between 0.55 - 0.60mm. The yellow dot is on the wires i think are of the magnet coil. Please confirm this and also how to remove them and check resistance.

If you can remove the grip u can check resistance by DVM

Hi, Brother i had a minor accident in which a bike collided head-on with my car. Everything and everyone was safe but my condenser got leaked. I want to get it repaired if it can be repaired. And recharge system after nitrogen flush, acetone bath and then charge with weight. Since you have pretty well experience with Automotive ACs can you tell me who in Lahore has these facilities?

the gap is measured at the blue line with feeler gauges - make sure not to measure just the edge, stick it in a bit deeper. set it with adding or removing shims from the hub. They are under the center bolt.

Yes i checked it like you said i.e slide it all the way in with a feeler gauge. Is the gap ok?

Can i safely remove the wires marked yellow to check resistance? (I hope i identified them correctly)

Salam all, I am having this issue i need to know that if this is normal or not ! When i quicky accelerate my car and Rpm goes above 2000 so the Ac trips for a second until the car is in uniform speed! is this normal ? CAr is Altis Automatic 2012! Please help

The AC clutch (working part of compressor) is controlled by ECU in modern cars. ECU monitors engine activities all the time. When ever there is a sudden increase in RPM the ECU trips the AC cltuch to decrease engine load due to AC Clutch so that engine can deliver more power to wheels that the driver might need at that instant. This also protects AC clutch coil from burning due to sudden spikes in RPM. It engages back when rpm is steady.

ECU will also trip the AC clutch if engine rpm is too low that engine may stop. tripping of AC clutch at low rpms helps engine not to stall and shutdown due to excessive AC cltuch load.

There is a guy here in johar town who actually do work as we say. So you can come there and let me know ill come and tell him to work on specs. What you need to know

1. Which oil do you need ND-8
2. How much oil to add for condenser replacement
3. How much gas does your car takes.

Rest everything can be done there. Its near shade wal chowk
