There is a proper testing procedure to test compressor performance, and just the compressor is not the only part in AC that matters.

e.g. if your expansion valve is bad, even a gold plated compressor wont do anything.

Well never had luck with that. I could only source a vacuum pump from Lahore main industrial market. And that too at a cost of a fortune 70K for a dual stage suction

Sir today I refill some gas my old psi on 38 but now my self refill some points r134a near about 50 psi and cooling is chilled

Mobeen Car is have I thing hand mad vacuum pump fill the air pressure near about 250 or 300 and locked on one hour but pressure is remaining same but mechanic gas fill low psi 38 so cooling is bad very small cooling but now my self refill r134a gas near to 48 psi cooling performance very nice chilled but I am not sure it's correct psi ????

My car's Aircon was acting up lately.

It would cool, but 20mins into the drive it would stop cooling altogether. Checked compressor, it was still turning. I'd switch off AC for 2mins, then switch it back on and it would start cooling again. If I didn't switch off AC but kept it running like that, a few mins later a loud noise would start coming, probably from compressor side.
Checked pressures, 70psi on low, 210ish on high.

Within a week of checking pressures, it completely lost all cooling. Checked the compressor and it wasn't even engaging.
Checked pressures, hardly 20psi in both lines, absolutely no gas at all. All leaked out in a matter of a few days.

So that's the story so far.

I have a corolla 2010 its ac sometimes work fine sometimes not. It isn’t as cold as it should be. Checked the pressures low side is 26psi and high side is 220 with ambient temp of 30C. Also ac cycles alot.

Peculiar car AC behaviours

Hi there. So here's a story. Please advise. I have a small JDM vehicle that is giving a few issues. When I switch on AC during idling, it switches on fine and vent air starts becoming cold. As soon as I put the transmission in D or R, I can feel and hear compressor disengaging and the high speed condenser/radiator fan turning off, and vent air starts becoming warmer. At the same time engine rpm drops to normal idle rpm. Then compressor and condenser fans start again and all back to normal. B…

HI Dear Pakwheelers your guidance and help required !

I have a little problem with my CIVIC 2005's AC. Mechanics are unable to find the fault, so I came here for help.

The problem is that my car's AC is tripping a lot, without reaching its limit. There is no issue of cooling, air is perfectly cold when compressor is running but it gets to trip a lot. Mechanics have checked the AC gas / Refrigerant, Pressure switch, got the AC serviced too. Every thing seems to be working fine.

As per the mechanics say "bhai app ka wehm hai" I know its not a wehm. Because from last year I remember there was no issue with the AC, i was very happy with it.

Things to mention here: there is no alteration or changing of any part or anything even horns are that came from Honda at that time, everything is in its genuine condition, 110%., except for two jans tappet cover jan and chamber jan.

P.S changed oil chamber jan last week and after that day, AC started to do this. I know there is no connection but still I felt to share this. Because same day before changing the jan I went to montgomery RD to buy the jan and there was no such issue.

If you guys can guide me with your expertise. Please let me know as a car lover I am stressed about it I had santro before and which started to do the same thing and eventually its compressor went faulty after one year and mechanics went from app ka wehm hai to bas purana ho gaya the compressor.
And I dont want to lose this CIVC's compressor

Check your iacv, those get dirty and sticky in these civics easily. It also causes short cycling.

What are the system running pressures,

also check how quickly both pressures equalize after ac is shut off,

Yes that is perfectly fine. RPMs are stable as they should be.

Corolla xli 2012 ac trips and doesnt come alive.ac trip when the car is driven above 2k rpm and doesn't come alive until its turned off and then back on.

Today I got my cars blower replaced and the one I got used its just in brand new condition but it has made no effects on air throw. Same car my friend has his fan throw and even condensor fans without any desi relay jugars are at least 30% better than mine. Hmm running out of ideas so will keep running the way it is.

I have seen expansion valves act like sarkari mulazim on a friday morning - zero sweat on evaporator, LOL.

had to replace it with a new one
