After second failure of ac compressor and having very little knowledge, I am looking for help in process of rebuilding Daewoo Racer air-conditioning.
Its system is of classic GM style. Includes V5 compressor - tube and fins heavy duty condenser- orifice tube – evaporator and an accumulator. Its stock condenser is in good shape with no leaks but due to repeated compressor
failures it appears to have lived its life. I tried sourcing the new accumulator and PAG oil but no luck. Only the original brand new condenser is available, a costly item though.
Setup in my mind is,
Replace the condenser to any suitable size parallel flow with or without integrated receiver drier (Success Company).
Replace the condenser with new original condenser and place a receiver drier on the high side.
Original orifice tube (new) to act as expansion valve (preferable).
Replace the orifice tube with H-block expansion valve.
Accumulator from low side will be removed as the receiver drier will be placed in the high pressure line.
New Sanden507 134a compatible unit of Success Company or a used Denso or SD507 (with new mounting brackets).
What combination from the above should I use? OR any other suggestions regarding setup, items brand, types etc ?
Can I clean the ac rubber hoses with CTC/Acetone/lacquer thinner? Will not it damage the rubber part?
Like others, I want only refrigerant in the system.
