Car auto unlock when take remote near to the car

Hi,

I have the Toyota Vitz 2014 push start last night. I have seen one when I lock the car with the remote key and I kept the remote in my pocket when I touch the car door handle it unlocks the car. Is this a feature of the Toyota Vitz or it is the setting issue? If I kept the key in my pocket and any other person standing beside me and touch the door it unlocked we are standing. Please help me with this.

Bro is absolutely normal. It's called smart key. If it's in your pocket and you press the button on the handle it will unlock. If you stand a little away, then the button gets disabled

Its absolutely normal.Its called smart entry basically there is an sensor/transponder in your key/remote that allows you to open your car without key fob when your are some inches away from the car.

Thanks for the message. Actually, my brother has the Passo but it does not have the same behavior. It also has the remote to lock unlock but the Passo is not push start.

This is normal function of the Key FOB.
On Toyotas:
1. The button on the door handle is to lock the door. It works when all the doors are closed, the boot lid also have such button which locks the whole car.
2. To unlock just approach to the car with remote in your pocket and pull the door handle.
