Car buying suggestion under 2.5 Million

This post may be long because I want to explain the scenario I am having. Thank you for your patience.

I live in Karachi and I am planning to buy a used car under 2.5 million budget. My daily traveling within city is max 25-30 kms. And because there are parking issues I am looking for a hatchback. I have never driven an automatic transmission so I don't know how it feels to have a automatic car, and I am comfortable with manual transmission.

I have owned Suzuki Cultus VXRi 2011 model but sold it recently. It really frustrated me and gave me many problems because it had Baleno ECU somehow fixed into it by the previous owner. And I had no idea at the time of buying.

Now because of this I am confused between PKDM and JDM.

If I go for PKDM then I don't want to go for older than 2 years model and then my only option would be to have a Suzuki Alto VXR 2021-22 (Manual). 2 years so that it is less driven in the city.

If I consider a JDM then I am looking for the following:
1. Toyota Vitz F 1.0 2011-2012
2. Nissan Dayz Highway Star 2014-2015
But these JDMs are driven closer to or more than 100k kms.

So what is the good option to opt for, a PKDM car that doesn't have bells and whistles but the engine is in good condition and the car has less mileage in Karachi or a JDM that has all the features but is driven in Karachi for more than 5-8 years. Considering the Pakistani market the JDM may have its meter reversed, engine oil not being of OEM recommended specs, radiator may have water instead of coolant.

Because I have recently read on this forum that Suzuki dealerships are pouring the 90w transmission oil in AGS whereas the recommended oil is 75w. So if this happens to a car which is only 2-3 years old then what could potentially be done with a JDM that has spent more time than PKDM in this market. Also seen used car ads of Suzuki Alto 2021 having water and rust in the radiator.

Please suggest which option is better to have so that I can travel with a peace of mind. You can also suggest other cars as well and correct me if I am wrong anywhere.

2.5 mil is a decent budget for a good used car.. you can buy a very good condition Swift too in this budget, or, you can buy a total genuine, very less driven, all original Honda city 2008 in this budget.. but you'll have to search for a car like that ..

I have seen 1 or 2, but if one has the issue then there are chances for others as well.

well depends how much the car driven , and driven in city or interior Sindh sort of thing..

i have alto none of single rust anywhere in the body or radiator its one year old car.

my couple of friends have those alto AGS .. but all of those are in v.well condition except some minor scratches (thx to bike wale in karachi)

Well my honest opinion u can buy picanto too even AT Picanto in 2.7 m. i have both cars ..

25 and 30 kms daily driven Picanto is fuel guzzler and my observation AGS gives some prob after some time probablity is high and i am seeing AGS shifting problems in cultus and alto

so i will prefer brand New alto VXR compare to used one but used car is used no matter what it need maintenance after some time new is new ..like i am talking about old vitz 2015 or 2013. or CITY 2008 way too old ..

u can buy brand new alto all u need to stretch ur budget little bit and if you are thinking about used alto then u can buy 6 month old car easily without single scratch or single Rust.

u can check KHALIL MOTORS SABZI MANDI ... they have some certified cars perty reasonable price .. forget about Danish motors and margalla motos they asked too much for there certified cars.

agreed and at least for Danish motors they are looters i have a v.bad experience with them..

yea new is new. finding a good condition old vitz too hard.. plus who knows when it need repairs and now a days its expensive.

I surveyed the market. On PakWheels, there are ads of 2022 model Alto VXR with a mileage between 10k-20k kms for somewhere around 23.50 lac. On the other hand, following are the options of Suzuki Certified cars:
1. Alto VXR 2021, mileage 28k kms, price 23.50lac, 1year or 12000kms warranty
2. Alto VXR 2021, mileage 48k kms, price 21.75lac, 6 months or 7500kms warranty

Which of these you guys suggest? And can I bargain on the certified cars or they sell it on fixed price?

low mileage is defiantly a winner .. make sure the car doest have any weird door squeezing's issue or sort of it.

dont go for 48k mileage or something like high mileage

10k or 20k mileage is good just like new car.. go for it..make sure the car driven in the city. a
