Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

Following up to my prior post 4171 from last week about detailing my car with werkstat range, posting a few pictures from week 2. Werkstat seems to be holding up well. Although the car is slightly dusty, here are a few pictures that I took while waiting for the wife to come out of darzi shop. Although it was sunny but I was in between buildings so the car was in a shade.

Silky smooth right side (it has a layer of light dust by the way). Also great reflections from the glass, not sure if its like that always or its because of the werkstat prime acrylic polish/cleaning that I did on mirrors.

mashallah some solid reflections and loving the stitched steering cover, its after market from pakistan ? or its come from japan with car ?
i think enough sealant coatings, now time for natural wax coat

Nothing fancy! just a simple wash & wax.

well by regular i mean the turtle wax cleaning wax..its a paste wax... i found the body really smooth and slippery afer using this once...can i use this product as a regular wax???
apart frm that i have both the ice liquid as well as paste wax...which one do u think is better???liquid or paste...

Well, I think you got your reply......and a good one too :). By the way, I have used ice paste on plastic, rubber etc and it does a good job in improving the look and protection.

used turtle ice synthetic paste wax
will try to get some good pics,as there is less space in the porch

JazakAllah for liking the effort and my style :). About gloss after cure time, I specifically wanted to test it the next morning but as you can see in the pics, the car caught rain after a dust storm so couldn't tell. Besides, the cure time for this product is listed to be 30 minutes for subsequent layering so not sure if the outcome next morning would've been (in case of NXT it was very noticeable the next morning).

About durability, it seems to be going strong MashAllah. There is dust on the car but doesn't seem to be sticky to the surface. I am going to follow this post up with week 2 results.

Its after market, got it done locally but from an expert. A few already cut covers are available at shops that only need to be stitched, but those do not bring the finishing like this and leave a few areas visible. This was custom cut and stitched.

About layerings, the resellers in UK that sell this (polishedbliss, very highly reputed) have been keeping a good 10-15 layers with ease. I wont be keeping that many but may go for a couple more layers every 2-3 weeks.

I dont have a carnauba wax though and I'd like to have a quality wax (p21s, dodo LF/WD etc) like my other collection but not at this time. So i'll have to wait.

Any tips for apply interior detailer to the dash console uniformly (assuming its clean e.g by an apc). The reason I ask is that I applied meguairs protectant over the dash and it was streaking for me on some areas when seeing from certain angles (some streaks were being left over upon drying). So when I applied a small spritz of detailer over that area, it would sort of make that patch more prominent/dark then the area around it (possibly because of layering) leaving me to a bandar-baant situation. So, how should it applied for even coverage and also how to avoid it get to the windscreen (another PITA)

eans i also have to find such expert from here stitched steering cover seems very attractive
about sealant 10 to 15 layers too much to me , i have experience for different sealants including klasse , 3 layers are more than enough for protection and reflections
sealant provide a transparent layer on car paint and too many layers hide natural deep gloss of paint

for experiment apply more layers of sealant on one pannel and apply 2 coats of natural wax on other panel and see difference

for natural wax hands down for liquid souvern wax trust me its come best of on silver and white

when bilori came into my life and i was doing her interior cleaning , she gave me tough time as her dash was whitish, extreme dry , i also experience same situation as u sayingi am sure ur vitz far better condition , just clean with any good apc and use microfiber applicator pad, moist it with interior protectant and than wipe on dash , try to apply in straight wipes in similar angle with uniform hand pressure , most important should apply on cold surface and best time now a days is early morning meguiar ultimate protactant give matt look if apply one coat but if u like slight shine than apply 2 coats , after each application give dry wipe with microfiber , i follow amir bhai style for having slight shine so i opt 2 coats :)foam applicator pad dont give such uniformity as u can get from microfiber applicator padmy experince of biloro interior cleaning https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/members-member-rides/210937-bilori-14
