Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

Detailing done yesterday,thanks to wapda i was unable to post it :S

so here goes

-washed with turtle ice shampoo
-dried the car
-applied turtle hard shell wax
-waited an hour
-removed the wax
-after an hour applied turtle ice synthetic paste wax
-waited for half hour
-removed the wax

the results are pretty much satisfying,I wish i had a dslr to show the real results,still better then nothing

MashAllah the car is looking stunning...but why did you wait for an hour when applying wax before removing it...is it required for synthetic als???

You dont need to wait - the alcohol evporates and leaves the wax only on the car as soon as you wipe it, so leaving it on would only make it harder to remove. but my experience with the turtle shell or syn wax product is very bad, They dont last even 2 weeks.

For similar longevity of 2 or 4 weeks I use P21s on my cars, one jar works for a long time and the lustre it gives off is very good. For proper longevity you need to buy some collinite waxes. They are made for it.

i never wash or wax in sun
n yea waiting wastes alot of time,thats y i can wash car only n only at morning time
the wax left was in black colour,but i think its gone now n since it kind of happens everytime now so i have give up on it :mad:
i applied 3m on each panel n then buffed,was easy to move n didnt applied much of it,though tried to spread on whole pad,but still while applying didnt felt excessive but little
maybe pad felt kind of rough as i didnt sprayed water on it in case of 3m but with wax i did
washing n waxing at morning had the advantage of shade
though i was full of sweat
n after that quite tired too
to spread wax evenly i tried spreading it on car wid hand n then sliding pad on it to cover it but it worked better when i applied wax directly on pad via bottle
but since 3m had a cap so i couldnt try the same wid it n tried spreading via hand but wasnt that good

If it goes away then its fine; don't worry about it. Every drop of sweat and blood you shed on detailing is definitely worth it and you're doing a good thing.
Try different methods for applying 3m; if you find an easy one then stick to it.....and do share it

works really well n is quite cheap as compared to other dodo shashka's

btw y cant i just spray water on pad for 3m too
when i was applying it,it felt like very light but i thought as long as its applying its fine

Collinite is one of the oldest player in market that produces waxes known for their durability and longevity. Internationally, its the choice of LSP of a large audience specifically when they detail for winters because these waxes last for 6-12 months. By the way, majority gora users like to have season oriented detailing sessions that should take their detail to the next season. Works equally great for summers and very high temperatures like ours as well but in winters (due to the extreme weather conditions of snow), people dont really like to detail that often.

The ones that are used for automotives are collinite 476s (most widely used and around 18$ for 8oz jar), collinite insulator 845 (thick liquid form) and collinite marque 915 (25% more carnauba than 476s and comes in 12oz jar for around 34$). By the way, these are very hard waxes and one of the difficult waxes to work with.

Dude use ICE synthetic paste wax it comes with a microfiber towel and an applicator its the best available product in market and also very economical.
you can use it 15-20 times my average usage is 17 times.
It is very soft and removed very easily without any hard work.

i thought that waiting will cure the wax and also removing of wax was easy :S

when i removed it wax easier then before :/,the synthetic paste wax is not that bad,it falls in my budget as well

thats the reason i go for Turtle Wax they are cheap and give a no. of applications
other options are kinda expensive for me atleast pocket money FTW

Aik to MashAllah itna professional Thread hai yeh ,, mujhay to post kartay huay sharam si aa rahi hai .. Kahan aik taraf thousands of rupees k products and kahan meri 365/-Rs wali Formula 1, But still ab kyounkeh mein nay hosla kar hi lia hia pics upload karnay ka to all must see!! bayshak the result would not be even close to other member's results...
