i thought that waiting will cure the wax and also removing of wax was easy :S
waited an hour for the hard shell wax,for synthetic wax i had to wait half hour as i got busy in other work

You thought right. Manufacturers list the amount of time or the state of applied wax e.g. "allow to haze" after which you should ideally remove wax. Some are WOWO (wipe on wipe off) like 3m performance finish. Meguiars synthetic would list generically to allow to haze and then remove. Again, these are for best results. Buffing off after hazing can be tough since the wax has dried on surface and would require sime elbow grease. Removing a wax without letting it haze (for which its instructed to do) may still produce good results.

Kahan aik taraf thousands of rupees k products and kahan meri 365/-Rs wali Formula 1, But still ab kyounkeh mein nay hosla kar hi lia hia pics upload karnay ka to all must see!! bayshak the result would not be even close to other member's results...

no brother MASHALLAH ur car is looking stunning...amazing beads and INSHALLAH soon with time you will also jump to other brands..lol...detailing is a crazy addiction...you will stop eating out but make sure you get stuff for detailing...

thats the reason i go for Turtle Wax they are cheap and give a no. of applications
other options are kinda expensive for me atleast pocket money FTW

btw no need to be shy,my first wax was also formula1,but now i have moved to turtle waxes and in future may be something even better

It also depends heavily on how thicker of a layer you've applied. The thicker, the difficult to buff off and that can also induce some swirls in the process.
So apply thin and use a slightly damp MF cloth for ease of removal.

Whoever owns the CL9 and corolla (assuming your car is parked home and those belong to other members in the house), convince them to invest on good waxes (show them a few pics) and then you do it on their cars as well as yours Just kidding...

My mentality (and thats just mine) towards spending in this area and convincing others (and trust me i've convinced MANY) is that majority of the cars we see on this forum start from 5-7 lacs+. You can get quality wax starter kit (shampoo,towel,wax etc) around 5-7K which is 1% of the cars worth. This product set would last you atleast 1.5 years easily.

Our entire used car market runs on exterior condition of the cars. The better the exterior the higher its price among the siblings. Even if the car gets scratched/bumped/dented, we prefer not to get it repaired so as to keep the car in genuine condition. Just saying thats how the market works here.

Tu phir atleast 1% kharcha kerna tu banta hay boss for better looks and better protection of car

But yeah, khayal rahay k @ahmad_yar ya phir @durrani_45 ki tarha detailing ki latt mat laga lena (as in the song 'mujhay tu teri latt lag gayi' , warna kharcha 100% of the cars worth ho jayega

+1 to collinite wax
works really well n is quite cheap as compared to other dodo shashka's

btw y cant i just spray water on pad for 3m too
when i was applying it,it felt like very light but i thought as long as its applying its fine

I was also applying 3m pf today and it did feel light but wax applying on panel(like you said). I used very slight damp foam pad and it worked fine though i had to use pressure as pad was soaking up the wax. I have also applied it with dry pad and i didn't notice much of a difference. Wohi baat na......as long as its applying its fine

is Glaze and a sealant the same thing???

Definitely not. Glaze is a product with fillers that mask most swirls and leaves a smooth finish. Due to fillers car paint gets deep wet reflections but only for short time. You can extend it by applying a natural wax on top of it. A sealant is a man made wax with offers greater durability and resistance to contaminants, u.v rays, heat etc than a natural wax due to the polymers present in it which form a strong bond to paint, thus more durability.

so here goes

-washed with turtle ice shampoo
-dried the car
-applied turtle hard shell wax
-waited an hour
-removed the wax
-after an hour applied turtle ice synthetic paste wax
-waited for half hour
-removed the wax

the results are pretty much satisfying,I wish i had a dslr to show the real results,still better then nothing
