i use meguiar's supreme shine towel,n whenever some panel even has a drop of water n it gets wet,the smooth slide of supreme shine becomes rough
i dont know why :S
but i guess i can seperately use mf for dampening

birds kept dropping $hit on my car :mad: after the wash,i removed it wid wet drying towel,n all got dirty
3m pf requires massage or just normal application like wax

normally moist microfiber considerd to be safe option than dry so it should not give rough feel.
performance finish is fall in finishing stage product so no need of any massage, just apply as like u apply wax
however for polishes, glazes, cleaner waxes behave good with massage

Ahmad bhai, just something i'd like to add....( @chaudhary9 aap bhi parh lein).......3m pf is actually not a finishing product rather it has slight cleaners in it, to be specific abrasive cleaners which clean up the paint to let the wax bond better thus more durability. I noticed the cleaning ability today when i wax waxing a contaminated panel with moderate pressure, massaging 3m pf.........the pad got slightly black which proves that it has cleaners which activate only with more pressure. Using less pressure won't activate them so they will be wiped off.

Detailing done yesterday,thanks to wapda i was unable to post it :S

so here goes

-washed with turtle ice shampoo
-dried the car
-applied turtle hard shell wax
-waited an hour
-removed the wax
-after an hour applied turtle ice synthetic paste wax
-waited for half hour
-removed the wax

the results are pretty much satisfying,I wish i had a dslr to show the real results,still better then nothing

Used #26 differently as it was 2nd Last product
NXT is LSP with 24hr apart

From the description it appears you applied UP by hand. I have heard it works great as a glaze in that way?

Also how does the sealant over wax combo works for you as the opposite of it is mostly preached and followed?

the reason turtle wax products are cheap is because they are CHEAPLY MADE, Even when living in Pakistan I would not use them as they were terrible, they would not survive one week in Karachi driving (I drove 100 kms each day - 5 days a week)

The collinite waxes are surely hard to work with but they are worth it, your car will literally clean itself in the rain. It took about 10 cheesecloth (malmal) to do one car with collinite insulator wax. 3M performance is also quite good but not as long lasting.

Here it goes!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used

Polish as liquid clay , applicator foam continuously rubbing & on my left hand I had a water spray bottle spraying & almost finished the product & panel in the swiping motion , finally cleaned with damp MF & inspect

26 not as a wax but as a glaze & swirl hiding kinda product as it has carnauba in it

some panels , little wait
some panels wipe on/wipe off
some redo un till I satisfied

24hr.......................................................courtesy wipe................... inspect......................NXT

3m performance finish falls in finishing stage product without any abrasive thing in it. finishing stage products not suppose to apply like polish or with moderate or more hard pressure and if u doing this on contaminated paint surface than even simple water moist foam applicator pad become dirty without any product on it.
many years back i also had same situation like u face, i used mothers california gold paste wax and i was surprised my applicator pad getting dirty though everyone knows its not cleaner wax, reason is even natural wax without cleaners in it lubricate the paint surface and loosen the contamination for time being and when u apply pressure with rubbing those contamination remove from the painted surface.
may be 2 years back myself and usman bhai doing one white corolla belongs to pw member "jz" we clayed car than cleaner wax and than finishing wax coat, for finishing wax we applied nano tec wax , nano tec wax used without any cleaners specialized finishing wax , at front door lower panel there was some contamination left ( though it was my mistake i left while doing claying :$) , i wished to do clay that panel but usman bhai put extra wax on that particular area , give light massage , gave time to loosen and than again massage with firm hands and remove contamination from that particular area

bro do we need to give some curing time between the application of cleaner wax and finishing wax ? I use megs cleaner wax and meg ultimate paste wax. Please shed some light and I have some lights swirls issue, bought swirl x but it doesnt work (using by hand)

When working by hand for swirl removal , you also have to use a correct applicator (not available locally of course). Besides by hand you won't be able to remove them entirely unless you have a lot of elbow grease. Swirlx is less abrassive than scratchx2.0 and ultimate compound so you have a better comparitive chance with them by hand (may additionally require finishing polish).
About cleaner wax, you dont need it to cure but make sure you buff it out properly. For the safe side you can wait 30 min for a breather and then resume.

The other thing about the cleaner wax. The reason why people use a cleaner wax is to replace an abrasive compund step. When doing that you dont want the wax to cure at all and bond to the paint. Wipe it off well and get the coat of wax that you want.
