Ladies I have a query.

On one of the front fenders of my Civic the paint has gone real bad. I've been told its been oxidized. I have tried getting it polished using cutting compound from a roadside place, but it didn't help.

Is there a solution to it? Or is repainting the only solution?

Umm, not a lady here, but willing to answer.....can I have the low down on what "REAL BAD" is ? Lost its shine ? Scratched up ? Rough to the touch ? An who classified it as paint oxidation ? Do they have some detailing history? Can you post in some pics of the damaged piece ?

Real bad as in totally screwed up. Not scratched, not rough to touch (maybe to someone with more eye for detail, or in this case hand for detail may feel it rough).

There's a local denting painting place pretty known in lahore who suggested that its 'oxidized'.

I'll post the real photo when the sun comes up, but for now here's how mine looks like (mine is shalimar rose though).

Ouch... I dont think so this is oxidized condition, this is all faded up paint.
All you needing will be a repaint.
Waiting for your original pic, so guru may help you better.

is there something wrong with IMC , or Pak Suzuki red shades?. I have seen so many Mehrans and Corollas ( 90's) with this shade have fading pant?

Koi shak nahi is mein. We started just like two years ago detailing our cars. And these gurus have tested hell alot of products, so no comparison of experience and learning for sure.

Okies....you got the analysis right..this is oxidation.....needs an abrasive, last time I had this situation on a beemer 7 an she needed a wetsand to take it all out, but preferably, get some oils into the paint, glaze, nourish it, an then go with any abrasive for the removal, if yer in Lahore, bring it by the studio...an I`ll sort it out for you.
