Havent really heard of it a lot and as you can see its more like a multi purpose towel (pets, spills etc) than a dedicated car care one. So, there is a possibility its not really designed to be scratch free on your cars. MF based towels are composed of polyster (70-80%)/polyamide but this towel doesn't seem to make a mention of that. Also, It says it can absorb 2x its weight whereas Microfiber based drying towels are designed for a lot more than that absorption (meguiars say 3x for their towel, more for others).
Meg water magnets does a good job at drying and if you use a quick detailer at the very last stage of drying, it would dry really clear without any streaks. Better than megs are the cobra guzzlers which are slightly expensive than meg but cheaper than the one you posted. Also, it appears this towel would lint (although it mentions on the back it wouldn't, but somehow the texture of it appears to lint). Chamois usually do a good job at drying and were really in until the magnet/guzzler came in. Back in 2010, when i wasn't into detailing, I bought a chamois (in a similar plastic jar as yours) from US from a dollar store (yes, $1) and started using it this year and it works great with one hand, offers great absorption and you can squeeze it with one hand letting almost all water go and continue to use (it needs to be stored wet or it would dry hard). I also bought another towel from the same store that made claims similar to what are printed on your box, and it shrunk to half its size on first use and linted like crazy.
Having said this all, do not be disappointed with what you purchased and all these comments are based are hypothesis. Give it a try and let us know. With its price tag, I am sure it'll be good with water absorption and wringing. Moving forward, feel free to discuss/refine your to-purchase list with people here.
