Salam everybody. This is my daily runner nissan pino....after 1 1/2 years of usage its headlights have become hazy....Now I am willing to get Meguiars headlight restoration kit but i don't know for how much time will it provide UV protection.... As the kit says "routine maintenance required" ...what should i apply on it so that it stays atleast 6-8 months.... A permanent solution what i found is ceramic pro 9H but current its only available in Karachi???? please help me out

by maintenance it means to keep them clean and apply meguiars PlastX provided with the kit whenever you wax the car, PlastX offers UV protection, are you sure you can handle sanding using the sand paper that is given in the kit? the level of haze is not that bad why not try with meguiars plastx and DA buffer and buff the headlights yourself then apply plastX regularly or even a paint sealant which is safe to apply on headlights

when i was applying CG jet seal on just the door sill area i though maybe it was bit overkill but now i think it wasn't a bad idea after all

obviosuly i could not leave the cars like this so took them to another house,

2.5months old meguiars gold class, water beading is still good but its time now to address it

all the cars safe and i immediately set to work to clean them as they had been in a prolonged contact with water, snow foam and pressured washed them to save time then used steam to hygienically clean the undercarriage and lower bumper grills wheel wells door hinges areas which maybe wet and properly dried the cars, also cleaned the interior floor mats. some pics

The megs headlight kit is a great starter kit and I think you should be good with that. As somebody else also recommended you need to follow it up with a sealant every 3-4 months ( unlike mentioned on the kit, primarily because the UV factor in Pak is much higher than the US or Europe where the polymers last longer).

As far as permanent coatings go like ceramic pro or any other nano coating it would be expensive to get them (though very long lasting). If you are interested in a permanent solution after getting them buffed like new there is a product called "Opticoat lens sealant".. take a look at that. The problem is that with the megs kit and these selanat you probably might be able to get a new light :s

Washed the car last weekend...took 7 hours or so...im really slow at this actually...before wash:

After Meguiar's white wax (I think paint needed some cleansing, so this is first procedure in weeks to follow)

MashAllah ! Neat an clean looks ! I remember seeing this ride around a year ago....an that too in the studio....tab to halat kuch tait thi....good turn around my man ! Gloss is indeed in check ! Keep at it !

how to remove swirls from front windshield?
cleaned it newspaper, visibility got pretty good
but when light comes from opp direction i can see swirls on it, rest all clean
