I recently bought a new car in black color. Can anyone please guide me regarding what should I do to protect its paint and shine?

P.S. I know absolutely nothing about detailing as I never got my previous cars detailed so asking for advice. Also please let me know the outlets in Lahore and if any is open on Sundays

The only one I would trust my car right now is Detailing Crew next to toyota garden motors.
Start with the basics. Buy a couple of microfiber towels, an natural carnauba wax and a dedicated car shampoo. Touch your car with nothing but this and it will stay shining for the years to come.
Wash the car at home every time it is dirty and dont ever dry dust the car. Wax every two weeks

Claying isnt rocket science. Make sure you work on a clean surface and use plenty of lube.
If you drop the clay bar or put it somewhere dirty, throw it away.
Also dont use the whole claybar at once. 50g is more than enough.

yesterday while parking I hit my car with column due to darkness. please guide me how I can remove these marks. lines are deep, even one point I think that is steel. I have touch up paint. please suggest me should I use touch up paint or leave this? or need to use polish or compound? if polish or compound which one? cos I have only wax.

Compounds wont help this the only way u can fix them is applying touchup paint !

First, apply cutting compound to get rid of any scratches that are not deep and can be removed by cutting. Then, cut thin strips of masking tape and mask the area around the deep scratches, as close to the scratches as possible. This feat would require a lot of patience. Then apply the touch up paint on the scratches with a thin brush. Once the paint has dried, get a rattle can of clear lacquer and apply a couple of VERY thin layers of lacquer. Be careful not to apply too much lacquer because it'll get a yellow tinge in sun light. Then take off the masking tape and it should look a lot better than what it is currently.

been absent form this thread lately, heres my newest acquisition its a w203 2002 mercedes c200 replacing my 06 altis , its in dark blue and a gem, here are some pics of existing paint condition just as i got the car

car is suprinsgly completely swirl free, and paint thickness on feel (i don't have a gauge), seems to be even better than my 06 altis especially in corners of panels

sir @vague_one this is my first merc, you have lot of experience with these what regime do you suggest to detail this paint and to take it to another level, i was thinking of claying, maybe some very light compound on da in some areas where there are scratches or lines but not swirls, then using pinnacle paint cleansing polish to the max, and then dodo purple haze,
i thought to use only natural wax which will compliment pinnacle paint cleansing polish

or should i not do pinnacle and use car lack AIO sealant?

Imtiaz bhai do the following things... First do it with ultimate compound and try to rub with medium pressure on the scratches, not with heavy pressure. and than see how much deep scratches are left... if they are felt by nail than do a touch up that came with the car from toyota, you will found that small container in your car safety / tool bag. Apply that touch up paint with a very thin (bareek wala) water paint brush, but remember one thing you must need too much patience. after that apply wax on the specific area and leave it for a whole day to moisturize the compounded area, and than wipe off with damp mf.. If you are hesitating in doing this, come to me I will do it for you...

Am here suggesting you that your car paint is metallic grey so try not to touch up with the paint. Better is to respray, but am sure by compounding almost 90% of the small scratches will be vanished you will be left with only deep scratches and leave them as it is... if you resprayed the panel your car value will be degraded, if you touch up it will not look good...

A close friend requested me to do some paint correction on his coure. This car really had a makeover and looked so much more alive after a little tweeks here and there. Apologies for the bad picture quality as it was dark.
