Usman bhai, I never really came around these permanent coatings. Tried many sealants with different receipes. Nothing is permanent in pakistani environemnt. All coatings wear off sooner or later in this environment.
What are your views?

Permanent to kuch nai meri jan.....Hum bhi nahin....yeh coating kiya cheez hai .....I got yer back...max I`ve had a ceramic one last is a year ! An that too aisay jaisay bul bul kay bachay jaise care ki ho paint ki......story hoti kuch yuh hai keh humaray mulk mai aap siwrls say bach nai saktay......to after lets say a couple of months....the clarity of the finish diminshes.....an we start up with the "yaaar gadddi ich oo gal nai andi pai"......an thus almashoor compound session goes into action.....an to hell with the long life coating !

Big thing for a coat to last for a whole year here in pak
But then you said that the paint was taken very much care of
the coating wouldn't have lasted that long without the care i guess
anyways I wax my car weekly or atleast every two weeks. Regardless of the fact that I have prepd and sealed the paint with af powerseal and klasse. I still wax it just for the sake of fun. I guess thats the only proper way of keeping the paint in top notch condition here in this environment.

And I have finally accepted the fact that swirls are gonna be there no matter what you do
so I have given up polishing/compounding etc to get rid of swirls. i just clay, give it a nice glaze or occasionally a good very mild polish an just wax/seal it.
Plus my car is white so swirls don't bother me much

Okay.......MashAllah....ncie job....so what was used ? How long did it take ? What sort of decon was done on it ? Rest of the process ? Any trouble with studdorn water marks on the mirrors ? What about moulding during freight ? Any trouble with the alloys since they were posted specifically.....I get rust on them where they were tied down in the container....tons an tons of issues! An then they think detailing is a breeze ! :S

The dash has gone preeety darn glossy nai ? You can see the bottles reflection on it even....gona turn into a darn mirror when yer driving into the sun......but thats just my pref on a matt interior...we`ve had people come in an demand a blinging dash.....possible this go into a matt finish ?

No bro it's not glossy at all... it feels so because the coat was fresh and too many lights... It looks awesome matte after it dried.

Cost: Depends on the type / age of the car and how many layers of Ceramic Pro 9H you want on the car. Car will be fully paint corrected before the coating is being applied.

I`m skeptical about this one.....seriously.......gloss is average.....car is a new edition as well......looks more like keh Ceramic Cermic ho raha hai.....I guess the final coat is due....shayad us wakat koi behtari ajaye....but then again....yer giving a space of 10 days to a coat......preeeeety confident yer previous coat will take on contamination...how are you going to cater to that ? What sort of micron count of protection are we talking about here ? What sort of base prep is involved ? Mind running us through the procedure ? Whats the life span on it ? I mean take this as an example....clayed an polished......see the diff ?

You are right the gloss effect will come after curing of the paint during the 10 day period and final finishing coat. During this period the car will neither be washed or dry dusted for any reason? Good to see you realized this fact soon. Stick with what you just wrote and i can guarantee your car paint will have a long life. I would suggest you to polish according to your requirement. If your car is a daily driver then it will get swirls even with great precautions. So use a mild polish after claying which would be two or three times a year.

Dear Vague_one: Jazak'ALLAH brother for liking. It took us about 12 hours with breaks in between obviously. My hands and arms are still shaky after using the rotary polisher and layering all the sealants creating all those protection layers and making the flakes crystals pop out to the max which was the MAIN concern to me.

So here is a little insight:

1. Rinsed the whole surface with moderate heat water to make the gunk loosen (nothing fancy; geaser was on )
2. Foam lance with hyper wash.
3. Shampoo two bucket method & clay with slippy soluntion(decontamination opted).
4. Wash with same heated water after each process.
5. Wheel arches were first degreased with max heat spray bottle could take same did to the rims but topped with clay bar obviously & protected at the end.
6. After surface prep, compound was done with machine because there were these minor scratched and love marks (round and horizontal swirls).
7. Polished with machine using least abbarasive combinations (just wanted crystal blue flakes popping put like 3d movie :p)
8. Sealant application both with DA polisher & hand application for final three layers of sealants/soft wax.
9. Engine bay was degreased/washed/degreased again and washed with high pressure water again using the heated water and protected to each nook and cranny.
10. Interior was vacuum cleaned. Experimented with using moderate light hot steamed towels on the interior with very very carefull hand so the leather interior wouldn't swell or cause air bubbles inside so we can first open the surface then remove dirt/gunk & protect to finish.
11. Tire gel & for rims used sealant.
12. Glass cleaning (which took a lot of patience in corners specifically. Used rubber tip tool tooth picks etc etc desi nuskhay and gazillion more clean dry towels after towels).

Challenges:

1. It has to be the ROOF. I mean it was like climbing burj al arab and doing that tom cruise stunt :sly: while not touching the paint below at all. Wish I could hang through cieling or someone invents something for it.
2. Water marks & little acid rain type marks on panels and paint work.
3. Decontaminating the RIMS freeing those rust spots exactly as you have pointed out plus the back side inner moulding was filled with this black infinite dust type thing. Which was then addressed by getting behind the wheel litterally go under and brush it out with high concentration of degreaser and APC; so much that It got me coughing.
4. Moulding was fine I would say pretty neat. Didn't need much effort in comparison.
5. The side skirts (pedals) were little irritating because of its very close contact with doors. Had to open each door seperately while paint correction procedure.

Our families think we crazy. Our freinds think we are too much "wehmi" they say "yaar ye dobara gandi hojaye gee" :banghead:

Guys- Is there anyway to remove scratches which are not d?ep enough? I mean when you rub your fingers on those scratches you dont feel like the paint has taken off but those white nasty lines are still there. I have tried scratch out but no luck.

Try megs ultimate compound follow by megs ultimate polish and seal it with some gud wax.some pictures would be helpful
