Dear fellow detailers..i own an 8th gen civic and the engine bay is quite dirty as it has sort of 'salt' or 'calcium' deposits on the engine block and accumulated dirt on various 'hard to access' places..how do i clean it to make it luk showroom new..its a 2008 manufactured honda civic 8th gen r18!..thanks in advance

Thanks buddy your info till now seems very handy actually i'm about to detail my black Liana it has many scratches on it some or deep and some aren't and swirls also i've already taken into account Megs ultimate compound and 3M rubbing compound which is best among these two? also give me some more info for detailing and from where i can get the clay bar online? thanks once again waiting for your reply

Megs Ultimate compound is good as far as 3M is also good. The difference in both can be better explain by Gurus. Am still in learning stage. Usman bhai @vague_one and Ahmed Yar bhai @ahmad_yar and aamir bhai @accord7362 can better explain in this regard.

Guys i really need your help ,my 2009 civic 8th gen driving side door has been painted by Honda people and unfortunately there work is pathetic nowadays even worse then Suzuki people by far .now here's my problem the paint job is really bad its like thick and uneven and when i wax my car it's some what better but it really depress's me when i see the waves .i did a little research and i found out that i might get better by applying clay as it will remove over sprays and thickness .any advice

Megs Ultimate compound is good as far as 3M is also good. The difference in both can be better explain by Gurus. Am still in learning stage. Usman bhai @vague_one and Ahmed Yar bhai @ahmad_yar and aamir bhai @accord7362 can better explain in this regard.

Instead of getting frustrated at what Honda did to your car , i reckon you take it to their paintshop and ask them to repaint the thng.

Dont think claying would help you with this. Claying only removes above bonded contaminants and is basically a cleaning agent. I think this case is because of the use of potene on the paint that results in the thickness and the unevenness. I think that this can be rectified either by repainting or by wetsanding and then compounding the paint. I recommend you go to detailing crew in lahore if you want a much better job than the local painters etc, they recently opened a body shop too. They will be able to solve your problem much better.

i bought few days ago the owner before got it painted from them i ve asked him he said beta hum ny kabi notice hi nahi kia but that mf door freaking me out .ive tried to find black color door same side from junk yard there all silver or white .and the funny part there's no filling's in the door , he said that there few scratches in the door that's why he had it painted but Gods know what the truth is nowadays everyone is a lair.

there's no poutin in the door checked by tak tak noise .the paint is to thik thats the reason some one just told me that i should get it proper compound maybe it could fix it ..

Ps just to get the door repaint alone will cost more then 8 k .these fuckers look for people like us .

If you don't use it, how do you clean the carpet of your car then?

I meant one that connects to lighter.

I would clean the carpet with a cloth and soft brush. It would leave a little smell but thats an economical solution. You may get a better vacuum cleaner but regular ones wont be good enough for doing the job. I use air blower to blow out dust and clean it afterwards.

Detailed this Prius in pearl white after 7-8 months, this time full procedures no shortcuts
Waxed with Collinite 845 in the end.

how do you rate collinite from other waxes and did you do any paint cleansing before applying collinite???

Bro, apc an brushes, cover up all electric spots an put on some good ol elbow grease......for the hard to reach spots, I`ve always found baby bottle brushes a very good option ! Besides that, if yer willing to spend a dime on it, get it steam cleaned. Oh an dont forget to do the dressings afterwards.

Errrr.....id differ on the clay rectifying a wavy paint finish....by wavy are we talking about orange peel or we talking about a metal defect ? If its orange peel, then we can have a go with an peel removing pad an see what we can do.....though if its a metal fault, then youll prolly have to get it done again......why dont you stop by if yer free an let me have a look on it.....numbers 0332-430-1100 if you need directions !

For the looks of it, I would say it was great. As you see in the pictures the car was reflecting light superbly on all curves. Im sure it would have very long life but I Know the owner wont take much care so I cant say.

Yes the car was clayed, compounded and polished to cover up slight defects. I did not go for sealant because the owner would destroy it anyway

Since u got a new paint facility now so can u fix such paint issues as well ? Color match ?

what is clay bar, for what purpose it is used, how can we use it and how can we remove it, from where i can buy the same.
