Hi guys.. Alhamdolillah I got a new Wagon R in White color, now:

1. what to use to swipe off dust on regular basis?
2. When to go for Pain Sealant?
3. Any other guidance.....

3m clay bar is really good but the Meguiars and mothers bars you see are good too.
For sealant, what's the budget and car color ?

Car's colour is black for budget in my opinion quality matters first then the budget if there is no option left but to buy an expensive one then i'll go for that but if there's a space then economical would becom handy

Any recommendations for the Meguiaire's new car kit? Is it good, so so, or not recommended?
Also, its for sale in another thread for Rs.4400. Is that a good price?

Simple wash with Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax Shampoo. Dried up quickly and abruptly in the sun as she does not enjoy a shade, therefore used Chemical Guys Waterless Wash afterwards and finally wiped with the CG Dust Monster.

Yeah its a tough job and you need passion to maintain black rides, but Not for you, as you are not maintaining it, you are just keeping is dust free and that too by a wrong method. The word maintaining means = Keeping it the way it is,, But you are inducing swirls on her daily,, So dont use the word maintaining in your case
Regarding the recommendations you just mentioned : these are ill-logical recommendations.
The finishes we have today, everything is cured and ready before it leaves the factory. Paint is NOT the the last thing to be done on car.. Its the first thing an un-assembled car gets. The Chasis / Body is painted and cured, and then its sent up to the assembly line up belt to start the assembling. So by the time the car gets to the 1st customer, it had already been around a month since painted. Even if it hadnt been a month, The assembled car is ready to go right out of the factory since its paint is baked at such high temps.

The point which you mentioned goes correct If it is a repaint, then you need to wait at least a month before applying sealant. Like being painted in open sky like 95% of workshops here do!!!

Secondly bro, the best case scenario is to make the paint swirl free before sealant, hence the need of light polishing comes. Polishing removes light swirls and leave a smooth finish to be sealed. Visit any Honda / Toyota etc dealership and you,ll see swirls on those brand new show cars parked nicely inside the dealership.

Oh wel thanks alot sir 'mike philips' for the wonderful corrections you made out there in my cleaning methods. I saw the pictures which you uploaded here and by looking at them i am very happy with my illogical reasonings and ofcourse my 'dust free maintainence' as well.
I have seen, purchased and used lots of brand new cars alhumdulilah but i have never seen swirls on them which need polishing. And, i stil wnt seal a brand new car until it has lived up with our environmental stressors for a month atleast .
I stick to my techniques and u with yourz bro....cheerz

Showered with meg apc, then agitating with different brushes and kapra...
Not upto the mark, but satisfactory for me

A bad day detailing wise today
I took my car to service station after the recent rain spell. All went well. There was a bird dripping on hood which stayed like a chewing gum after the car was ready. I told the service station guy about it n he tried to rub it. Meanwhile I made my mind that I ll try meg ultimate compound or detailing spray on it when get home but before I could understand the guy pulled out a white pot out of his pocket n by the time I noticed him, he applied it n started rubbing it. I got angry on him but couldn't do anything. He cleaned that $hit n the sticky substance was reduced but now there is a small whitish patch like half of a thumb nail n that patch ll not go away despite my all efforts. They said paint has been removed but going by nail method I can easily glide my nail over it.

Gurus suggestions please.

At the moment after trying meg ultimate compound, ultimate wax, ultimate polish, scratch x, quick detailer the thing wont go away. I have now applied meg 26 over it in generous amount n planning to leave it over nite. Will buff it tomorrow. Am I going right. Please correct me if I m acting wrong.

Pardon for my broken narration but really disturbed due to that mishap.

As far as I can guess from the pictures, paint is gone. That white compound was most probably too harsh.You can't feel it via the nail method since the paint didn't "chip" off. There is little you can do now with waxes or any other sort of protection material.

I hope I am wrong and there is no damage done.

P.S: You really need to address that wiper tray if you aren't a wash n wax detailer.

I think that is the primer showing and the paint has been removed, get the paint touched. Applying wax on it wont help it or anything, in fact wax will form another layer on it.

Even on my car there are two bird poop marks that have been etched into the paint, yes bird poo is bad.
I read on international forums to how to remove bird poo. Take two or three tissue papers, fold them and wet them so much that they are not dripping wet and just put them on the bird poo, keep wetting the tissue with water using a spray bottle when the tissues look dry. After an hour or so just swoop up the bird poo from the car and then you can clean the car easily.
