Salam Pakwheelers

So today i waxed my car for the first time ever in life Alhamdullilah

Wax used was a cheap 200 rs one, the mighty Kiwi autoshine :P, borrowed from a friend

Keep in mind it was the first time i ever waxed a car

Took me 3 hours to wash and wax the car

the results are here..all suggestions and criticisms are most welcome

Decent results mate. These cheap waxes such as formula 1, kiwi autoshine and cosmic are abrasive. Try avoiding them, use turtle hard shell as u r a starter. It is not that expensive and you'll really love the results and that wax lasts a week. Buy less but buy quality stuff.

Yes it will work .... I am using it on trims which went grey with time and service station surf .... But u need to apply 5-6 times regularly for better reults ... It will not cure in only 1 application .... Remember its back to black not back to black tire shine .... These are two different things as far as i know

washing in the morning means dust on the car by the evening gaari ghar ke andar khari karnay ke bawajud!

Wash with double bucket using CG Mr Pink
Waxed with Megs 26 wax

I am really getting hard time shining my black 8th gen civic .i have sonax black polish ,turtle hard shell and turtle rubing compound and also polishing machine .i usually apply 1st apply turtle wax and then sonax with the machine but i dont get the shine like people who use mostly cheap wax .i have not yet apply rubing wax yet as i just got it .what should i do what mistake i am making ? Prevouly ive say some one using formula f1 premium care and dam that shine was awesome. Should i use compound first the one that painter use i think that one does cost about 1k .Plz guys help what should i do ?

Try waxing by hand...i did that way..you can see result in previous page

I too was using turtle before this and i always felt it has an element of dryness on the car paint. I wasn't satisfied with results of turtle so that's why I experimented with Formula1 premium (black tin) when i saw it. And its far superior than turtle i promise. The lasting and beading is also good. Give it a try. As far as Sonax is concerned i have not heard good words about it.

not good i bought it from saudia.Very bad vacum force and cheap quality.

My cousin bought it. It is actually pretty decent and has a reasonably good suction.

Waxing is like a coat to protect and give shine to your paint. If your car base prep is poor then no wax can do any magic. For starters, you need to buy a good shampoo and wax. One you know how to wax, then you can probably move on to claying and compounding.
Kangaroo Hard Excellent wax is also a good hard wax for 350 rupees. Easily applied and removed and protects paint for 2 weeks. In my opinion it is much better than turtle hard wax. Removing turtle wax is a pure nightmare....

First of all post few pics of your car so one can give review accordingly.
I can see a 7th gen civic in your dp
Which means car is a bit old
It will need to be clayed with megiuars clay kit
compound with megiuars compound
You can do it by hand also
Then megiuars or any other geniune and good quality wax
And you are good to go
So in short
First step
- wash with car shampoo
- clay with meg clay kit
- compound with meg compund
- Seal it with a good wax
With two layers
If your car doesn't have any swirls or paint imperfections you can skip the compound and use megiuars ultimate polish instead.
Post some pics in daylight or in direct sunlight

A good quality wax does not stay more than 1 month
Wash it if you see water beading which means wax is still on ur car

For formula 1, I am referring to the yellow tin, not the premium paste wax. You can try it yourself, try putting a light key scratch on your car and use cosmic on one part of the scratch, formula 1 on one part and a quality wax lets say meguiar's ultimate wax on one part. You will see the scratch disappearing where u have used formula 1 or cosmic, but that will not be the case with Meguiar's. Using these regularly will lead to clearcoat failure, and you'll end up spending a huge amount on getting it repainted. Cosmic is not that abrasive but formula 1 is much more abrasive, it is more of a cleaner wax. Atleast use turtle, its hard shell paste wax is easily available for 500-600, and it lasts for max 10 days, while cosmic lasts just for a day and formula 1 may be 2 or 3 days. Buy less but buy quality. If you still disagree you can always ask Usman bhai @vague_one and Ahmad Bhai @ahmad_yar.

I tried with machine, used Biloxxi for some time but the result by hand for any wax/polish is more satisfying for me than the machine. Machine only feels suitable to me if compound is needed.

Bro the yellow Formula1 is one of the most horrible things i have experienced. Cosmic felt okay as a starter but you are right, it feels as if it has some compound element in it.
To be honest I didn't like turtle much, A pain to get rid off and not such a glossy result. Tried BMW hard wax, my oh my the results were absolutely staggering but what a painful workout it was. Shifted to Meguair's (only bought it once) but it gets heavy on the pocket with all this dust, pollution and grit sorrounding us meaning no matter how good the thing is it doesn't last as long as it's price. But the Black Premium is a different story since it's not expensive at all. Its still there on my car exactly 8 days later and despite a Sunday today i didn't wax it today since i felt it wasn't much needed despite the washes during last week. Beading wasn't so bad. I think i'm gonna stick to this one for some long time now. Finally something worth the low price. I'm not at all even thinking of comparing it with Meguiar's BUT, It looks like they tried to make it's copy & NOT A BAD COPY in lower budget.
