I dont see any one here who appreciates any new detailer using nominal price products .... All are billionaires here .... Get some sense buddies ... Not every body can afford the fancy names u people keep on talking whole day .... I have used almost all freaking expensive stuff and it hardly mkes a difference .... Its just gud for show off that i hve used megs, i m using dodo from birth bla bla .... Plz keep this thread alive for newbies also and suggest them stuff which is economical for them ..... I see a lot of members aging 18-26 and most probably they are students so cant afford the expensive stuff unless their parents are supporting them .... So i would like to say there is nothing wrong with cosmic, kangaroo, formula one, turtle etc. Nothing will hppen to the paint finish .... So new detailers buck up and keep using products as per ur pocket

Products like megiuars 3m nano skin turtle dodo juice etc etc are worth appreciating.
But brands like kangroo cosmic formula 1 and all other local brands are just *****
Formula 1 was the best product of its time but now its not genuine and the one avail in pak is fake.
Its better to wash car with surf and hair shampoos then to abuse paint with low quality waxes which have no any natural and benefitfull minerals.
These brands will just shine the paint for a week and you will see how dirt will attract that car !
People have misconception that wax is just used to bring shine noooo thats not the case wax is for protection of paint and then shine
Good quality waxes add depth to the paint they add necessary minerals and oils in paint and helps them to protect from uv rays and seasonal damage to the car paint.
So in short every brand have good and bad products turtle and formula one ( original) range have good and bad both products like in megiuars and 3m etc brands .
Yes all above mentioned brands are quite expensive but its only one time investment.
I bought 6-7k worth stuff last year in August 2014 and belive me i have 2 cars i wash them one or twice a month
Wax them polish them
Till now i have still products with me from last year
What i bought is
Meg Car kit
Meg clay kit
Dodo juice detailer spray
What i have still with me even using for almost 8 to 9 months
Wax it can be used for 2 more cars
Shampoo it can be also used for 3 to 4 more cars
Tyre jel
Its almost un used
Dodo i have used it badly but still its 30 % left
So in short if you spend 7 or 10k on detailing products they will last upto a year or more than that that
Means 700 to 800 rs per month for your cars is it not reasonable ?

Even the most expensive wax on this planet cant stop attracting dust .... And 90 percent of people in pak even dont wax their cars , still thier cars are shining and rust free , where those uv rays and seasonal changes have gone in their cases. Its just a monoply of these fancy brands to make people confuse and those having bucks in their pockets fall prey to it easily. I m not against detailing, i m in favour of detailing coz it makes ur car look cool but not like on this thread that every other guy is a brand ambassador for these products and keep refering to 2,3 threads of commercial selling of these products (no offence to commercial sellers/ shops thread operators for detailing)

My mehran is detailed every month with good products and its best in its class and other mehrans on road.
You can't say everyone wrong
Try searching Google if u believe it one percent.

My megs ultimate wax has become watery :(.
Some "makhan" like stuff is seen separate and milky water like stuff is separate. Its not crossed a year yet.

What happened... its my all time favourite detailer spray..

Spray it on the surface and wipe off with a dry mf towel..

I am really getting hard time shining my black 8th gen civic .i have sonax black polish ,turtle hard shell and turtle rubing compound and also polishing machine .i usually apply 1st apply turtle wax and then sonax with the machine but i dont get the shine like people who use mostly cheap wax .i have not yet apply rubing wax yet as i just got it .what should i do what mistake i am making ? Prevouly ive say some one using formula f1 premium care and dam that shine was awesome. Should i use compound first the one that painter use i think that one does cost about 1k .Plz guys help what should i do ?

Let me share something valuable.
When I bought the Prius in January '14, in Islamabad there were only 2-3 red ones present. Over the time, and I'm talking about facts here, many people bought a red Prius when they saw mine as it travels in the whole city, I know of a few who agreed that they bought a red one because they saw mine.
Anyhow, everyone here knows how much effort goes into my car and the products that I use. The professionals would know better than me that red color has a tendency to fade quicker than other colors if not taken care of. Alhamdulillah my car's paint is in a very healthy condition because of these products despite the fact that it is a daily driver and faces all kinds of weather, dust and what not.
One hotel owner in G-7 bought exactly the same car as mine, same color same package a few months back. My car goes there a lot and I'm pretty sure he saw mine and then bought one himself.
Anyhow, that car was being washed at service stations and no quality product touched it, guess what? That car's paint has started to fade already, not even a year has passed since he bought that car, many other red Prius that I saw, their color has also weakened but Allah ka shukar hai that's not the case with mine.
So yeah, these products are actually a valuable investment and worth the money, rest assured the "dry dusting" fans will never believe all that I wrote above.

I totally agree, as I just came back after getting my father's '13 Corolla Black washed from his fav local service center.

Trust me after dry dusting and whatnot, his paint is in very bad shape with all the scratches and swirls.

Me being a keen observer, can feel each and every scratch, while he is repeating the same routine daily. His car has only been driven 11,000 kms in this time, but the paint work tells a different story.

Without proper care, every car will suffer.

It's been 6 months since we got the black Corolla and I have seen newer ones than mine having more swirls than my 9 years old Lancer! All thanks to service stations and dry dusting.
At first when I got this "keera" of detailing I had to face criticism initially by my family but very soon they also saw the reality and now they advise the close ones as well to stop incorrect washing methods/dry dusting and for more details everyone is referred to me

Removing scratches and swirls by a wax has different concepts. Some actually remove them and in some, Its the gloss that makes them less visible not removes them. I have experienced scratches actually fading with Cosmic, but it didn't happen with F1 Premium. The scratches are there but less visible due to glossiness. Some waxes that are abrasive actually fade them but those which make them less visible is a different thing. As per my experience, The dry hard powdered effects of turtle rather make them prominent and that might be making you think it doesn't remove scratches so it's good.
Talking about a company that makes one thing and can't make any better things, some examples: Suzuki makes both Mehran and Swift, one is superior than the other. Just because an XLi Corolla has wind up windows and no ABS doesn't mean a Prius is the same thing. Eurostars are not good tyres but they are better than General XP and priced half than Yokohama.
I am an Architect by profession and i have designed 10 Marla houses as well as Mega Scale Commercial Projects. Dear Bro, The point is: we can't reject something without trying it just because of any other item that manufacturer makes. Experience rejects verbal claims.

Sir I agree, but there is a difference between masking and removing scratches. Every brand has a good reputation or a bad reputation. In this case, formula 1 does't has a good reputation, I have used their shampoo, their interior protectant, tin wax, liquid carnauba wax and scratch out , trust me nothing is worth the money. Lets take another example lets say you have a budget of 6 million and you want to buy a car in this range. Would you ever go for a Suzuki Kizashi??? Nahe na, most of the people will prefer a Merc, audi or something else. These products also don't have a very good life. What good is a car wax if it doesn't protects the paint work for more than 2-3 days. kher sab ki apni apni choice hai. I have Meguiars ultimate paste wax, that lasts a month and really easy to apply. It also costs quite cheap per application. On the other hand its too early to judge this formula 1 premium paste wax, as I have not tried it. Let the experts try it and we'll hear it from them.

Sir detailing bohat bara "keera" hai. Just the other day I was at Arena, watching "Jalaibee". When I saw that yellow Mustang, i was looking at my brother and saying "yar inki gari per boht swirls hain" and my younger brother was like " yar bhai khuda ka wasta hai movie dekh lo har jagah swirls nazar anay lag gahay hain tumhain".Bro me and my cousin bought JDM alto (ikathay he import karwae) and after two years my car's paint still shines like brand new and his car has absolutely no shine, after getting it regularly washed by service station wala. Though my car has done 1 lack 30 thousand and his car hasn't crossed 75 thousand.

bro I think you are doing something wrong here. Dodo juice detailer spray is one of the best detailer spray. Spray some detailer spray on the panel, spread it with one side of the micro fiber towel and then wipe off the excess by folding the micro fiber towel and exposing a dry side. PRECAUTION:
Don't use it in direct sunlight and don't let it dry on its own, spread it evenly. InshAllah you'll get no streaks

I think you should try the item in discussion instead of coming to conclusions right away because it's name is not fancy and its not called "Meguair's"
Oh: And bhai talking about a Suzuki Kizashi example, that's the whole point of F1 premium. If i like spending the 4 times amount of F1 Premium i would certainly buy the Mercedes of Wax that you are using (Meguair's) but if the Kizashi is available in half the price of even a Civic, who wouldn't buy it? And that is exactly the difference here. F1 premium is priced at Rs.628 to be exact. Divide that to price of Meguair's

Youre doing something wrong. Either your cars surface is too dirty or your microfiber is used for other jobs or is not washed freshly.
Ive cleaned glass windows with it and it gives an excellent streak free shine.

Not everyone here is a millionare.

I use brands like dodo juice sometimes but if you do a searxh on my profile you'll see i used turtle wax only for my first year.
I still use their shampoos for everyday use.

My point is that people here on this thread are just giving brotherly advise. Formula 1 is known to be a cheaply manufactured abrasive 'wax'. It is known to pale out paints.
Its just a suggestion for newbies, nobody's forcing you to start off with high end stuff.

(Once you get addicted, you buy high end stuff yourself and wallet khud se halka hota jata hai, trust me)
