Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

As a guy who's totally new to this stuff (this looks like rocket science to me), give me a noob's guide to taking care of a new-ish car.

1. What items would I need for both exterior and interior care?
2. Where would I be able to buy them in one place? (Islamabad preferably)
3. Any videos/images/texts to describe what to do with the said products

Any help would be appreciated.

Not at all recommended for a car having factory paint which has already been compounded a couple of times. Wet sanding only done in case of touchings and new paint applications etc. Max that should be done to a car is compound for swirls. Frequency, not more than once an year at max specially black cars which start showing white primers and base along body curves in a few years if compounded so frequently.
Factory paint and that too the ones we get in local cars will start vanishing with such procedures. That's my concept and gurus are welcome to correct me.

ali bhia ive learned it the hard way ive just did it on the front fender now its full of scratches inside the paint it took me an hour to get the shine back .but at least i now know how to apply compound..and ajj glasurit compound proved to be better then mag's like you said .

I used Turtle Wax products on it but now I wanna be a little more careful about the paint so what other products should I use to keep its paint in good nick and keep it looking shiny? I only used the black car shine that Turtle Wax offers which comes with the chip-stick.
If any of you could guide me, I'd be very thankful.

You can use it once in a year or two
But this all depend upon useage of car
If your car is properly maintained waxed every month washed weekly and have no or less swirils and its shiny no need to use it

I'm using black shine polish also its a brilliant choice for black paint for further protection top the polish with wax i'm using turtle hard shell wax its good enough you can also try meguair's black wax

9 year old car Detailed by me

you have posted the pics of this Lxi on liana's fan club ,was very dirty then now its seem like a oven fresh which products you've used because I'm also planning to detail my Black Rxi.

Compare prices individually on both TCS Connect and AutoHub. If the cumulative difference is not much then TCS Connect is better. Agreed, they arrange the items from the seller but the products are ensured to be 100% authentic as reputation/stakes are involved. Not that you can't find authentic stuff anywhere else but the fact that it's a pain to get one thing from Islamabad, two from Saddar Rawalpindi and another four online, ultimately for the sake of saving Rs.100 to 250, on a number of items.

Like any other item category in the world there are low to high quality, cheap to expensive, no name generics to world renowned brands, but from personal experience, I've also found many cost effective detailing stuff to be equal to or par with some high quality stuff. Take the example of genuine black Soft 99.

Use Meguiar Black Wax for its good for Black and easy to use

i did not use high price products for exterior i use Baril compund 150rs n cosmic wax 350rs, n buff with rotary polisher
