Just bought a 2010 Black City in original paint. Car has minor scratches here and there.

Was wondering what would be the best way to make the car totally black again For instance, I was told I need to get my car waxed with a certain item whose name I no longer remember.

What would be the best way to get rid of these tiny scratches?

Clay-> Compound -> Polish -> Wax -> Sealant

Any recommendations? Cost estimate? I just sank about 75k into the car's sound system. Had no idea keeping a car shiny takes this much dough

If I get it done from a professional, I won't need to buy any of this stuff myself I guess.

No idea about a professional detailer in ISB, haven't been active on this thread for the last year or so.

This will get your car back in shape then regular maintenance is your job i.e wash and wax (depending on the wax, it can be every week or every month :P)

Thanks. Are they the sort that would do everything right themselves or the sort that you have to watch every minute you're there so they don't skip some **** or mess something up? I'm new to this so kinda clueless.

I would never let anyone work on my car without my supervision
I like being a PITA when it comes to my car. However, the owner Atif is a decent guy and has experience with good products(meguiars,3M). Give him a call, ask him whether he will be working on your vehicle or would he conveniently hand it over to one of the workers...
In parallel, look up online what each step of detailing is used for so you can choose the right package(wash, clay, compound, polish, sealant etc)

Several ways..
I like to dilute apc 1:10 and sprsy on wipe off for the flat panels on the interior and for the areas like cup holders and door handles and ac vents, I spray a bit in there, agitate with a detailing brush and wipe off with a microfiber towel.

How do you get into hard to reach areas such as the small gap where windscreen and dash panel meet ?

Same technique... if its curved inwards or if it has a strange shape, i spray it with apc, agitate it with a brush and pick up the dort and foam with a mf towel. The windscreen with get dirty and you can clean it with the glass cleaner and the two towel method

I use megs quik interior detailer. It can even be used to clean navigation screens and sensitive stuff like wooden panelling, etc.

It leaves a streak free, no shine finish. Exactly how bare plastic would look. This is why it is suitable for this job too.

You can try glass cleaner too.

last used this clay bar back in 2013
it was in air tight packing since then
that little ball is from last clay session
clay bar was light blue in colour
now u can see its colour, can i use this to clay? took out to clay now but now have doubts @dynamicallyStatic @omarabdullah022

You should hopefully be fine. Spray lube on it and mould it with thumb to see if forms a smooth like before texture. Use it on a small area with ample lube and ensure from certain angle it's not marring the paint (in case it has gotten too hard).

Was it left with some lubrication/ moisture ?

Remove it from bag, add some lubrication and knead it again. And then share results.

Is it safe to decorate a new car with flowers, ribbons etc, as they use ordinary scotch tapes which leaves residue on the car body and many people say that they permanently damage the paint job..
Is there any special tape which doesn't give stains on paint job and in worst case scenario, which thing is best to clean the car in case of stains..?
