Experts, need guidance:
Is it safe to decorate a new car with flowers, ribbons etc, as they use ordinary scotch tapes which leaves residue on the car body and many people say that they permanently damage the paint job..
Is there any special tape which doesn't give stains on paint job and in worst case scenario, which thing is best to clean the car in case of stains..?

Not an expert, but just my two cents.

There is no problem in decorating the car. Just make sure you wax your car before hand to give a nice protective layer on the paint, and don't prolong in removing the flowers after the function has ended.
If your car is waxed, then a simple wash would easily remove any residue if any.

I have decorated my cars and haven't faced any problems.

3m adhesive remover will do the job !

From a painter I have heard that the stains from roses (water falling on roses dripping on paint and drying), that won't get off and could lead to re spray. Also, take painters white paper tape along with you and tell them to use that.

going to clay now, so how do i repack the clay, dip it in shampoo solution n then put it in a lafafa?

Any safe way to remove swirl marks from a black car?
My car has lots of swirl marks on it even though I used Turtle Wax Black Shine on it. I want to remove them in a safe manner without damaging the paint as I just recently got it repainted. The car is black.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

if you got your car paint recently then maybe swirls are inside the paint .other wise try using meguairs ultimate compound that what i used to remove swirls didnt get a 100 per result but was 80 per ..

No, they aren't inside the paint as they just emerged a few days ago. I got it washed from a petrol pump and then this happened.

Any other ideas?

If you stored it with shampoo solution that is the likely candidate to have changed its colour and state. Store it with some heavy mists of a qd

Yes that is a better option, I am personally not in favor of this expedition but sometimes u have no other choice, anyhow I'll try to avoid it as much as I can.

Now that's something freaky and dangerous, I'll try my best to avoid this decoration thing.

If kept in good conditions, the clay bars are supposed to last 2-3 years. So it should be alright.

Today I cleaned my car by the following method:

1. Sprayed Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss. Just one drop in spray bottle.
2. Washed away sprayed shampoo with the hose
3. Sprayed DP waterless wash and wiped to a nice clean shine with Meguiar's microfiber towel

since its hot at day time so decided to do a night session
damn there were so many mosquitoes, brought electric insect killer outside n still they were all around me :mad:

sprayed lots of water n then wiped off using water magnet to clean off the dust
then worked small areas for cleanser wax with prima amigo cleaner wax, got from @dynamicallystatic while working constantly on those areas, applied lots of force, felt like if i was using compound but anyways result was worth it, paint mein jaan daal di, loved this product
there was clear difference on area done n area not done, could see lots of golden flakes popping out, paint looked all dark as compared to previous dullness
n after covering one panel, applied collinite 476 wax n buffed it
covered bonnet, front n back fenders, roof n trunk
took 2.5hr doing all this
doors r still left out n rear

just this morning even after claying, paint felt rough on touch but now its pretty smooth

tested water sheeting, poured water on bonnet n all came running down drying was a breeze since there was nothing left

Prima amigo is one of the best (among detailers) and a very underrated product. Definitely enriches the paint. It's a pre wax, it's a non oily glaze, it fills too, it seal tiny bit too. Love it and use it on most dark colour details I do.

With so much rubbing to do and Collinite, there will be dust on car attracting quickly (static charge) so keep the QD at hand.

cleaned the car at morning time, there wasnt much of a dust or didnt seem like atleast
water magnet was just sliding off the panels instead of rubbing on it, loving the result
since doors r left but rear fender is done so there's a visible noticeable difference between both, doors r looking dull infront of it
outcome is pretty great
