Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

So today for detailing i had my Vitz. The car was ignored for past some time. Was not Disappointed with the results.

Washed with Sonax Gloss Shampoo
Clayed with Meg Clay Bar
Ultimate Polish
Waxed with Collinite 476

Interior Detailer for interior.
Endurance Gel on tires.

Both look great MashAllah...
What process of application/removal have you established for 476?

I have this car i have heard so much about detailing. Plus cleaning and maintaining your car has a satisfaction level nothing can beat. I am numb and dumb about this but I want this job. I know.there are 1800 pages on detailing but nothing is coming up with simple and basic rules. What products to buy as a beginner and how to use them step wise for proper detailing Thanks

What process of application/removal have you established for 476?

Started off with washing undercarriage from a service station.
Then intensive wash.
Tried to clay but clay wasnt attracting anything, car felt contaminant free.
Applied ultimate polish.
After 10min gave a coat of 476. Just a single coat. Will top this up with ultimate wax in a few days.

I meant to ask for 476 application/removal specifically.. Did you go panel by panel or more ?
Topping with Ultimate wax.. mmm.. you'll lose the water behavior of 476 (if you're liking that). Ultimate wax will basically take over if you top it.. May be try just the trunk as a test panel and see how that goes?

With 476, i always go panel by panel. Because it is a very challenging to wipe it off once it has dried completely.
And i tried ultimate over collinite on city, the water sheeting kind of reduced but it is still very much there. You put on water and it slides down. Also, the ultimate gives a really good gloss over collinite. Yes.

as a beginner you need the following things
1.a good shampoo
2.wash mitt
3.a few microfiber towels
4.a wax
5.interior protectant
get the products that fit your budget (Turtle wax is usually good for beginners)
wash your car using two bucket method (google is our best friend here)
and remember to apply a thin coat of wax that way it wont be a hassle to buff and you wont be wasting your product

can glassurit compund remove swirl marks because meguairs uc couldnt do it ..

plus i had one of my door wet sanded and after compunding ,polishing and waxing i see that the door is dull with very less shine .products used meguairs compound as well as glassurit compound .

Technically UC compound cut only Fine Swirls and oxidation for extreme level condition use Meguiar's Heavy Cut Cleaner with Buffing Machine follow with Ultimate Polish or Meguiar's Ultra Finish Polish and Mirror Glaze No 07

My car is having strange kind of smells from rear seat/carpet side, but im unable to pin point the place from where that smell is coming. Just tell me any totka to remove smell.
Tomorrow will keep car in sunlight for some time. Any other solution? (Plz dont refer to odor eliminator kind of things, just need to know a desi totka)

if i were you I'd run down all the fabric inside the car, including the carpet with Astonish Fabric Refreshener or similar if available. its relatively cheaper process compared to activated charcoal (aka odor eliminator)
