I'm using jet seal but i didn't really love it. Luxe prepped and applied 2 layers of it amd the shine was nice at the spot but went away quickly.

Maybe it's not meant for any kind of shine though. Plus on white colors, shine is a difficult effect to add.

I've seen videos of Powerlock+ though and wish that was available in Pakistan. That thing is a goldmine like Collinite.

Yes it needs a 2nd microfibre for final buff.
And there is no need to spray on tight places.
Just use it on dlors hood, boot nd roof nd bumpers.
Only rub damp cloth to rest of areas, dambed with ech20.
Dont try to wash whole boonet or roof in one go with it. It will dry and wouldn't be manageable.

The dripping solution goes into these tight corners. Would that mean I'm spraying too much?

Yes man, you are sprsying too too much.
There is no need to spray this much.

Take a picture of your sprayed panel next time...

Jet sealant by chemical guy
Chemical guys shampoo

Pinnacle SSII is awesome, especially on metallic paint. But it's more geared towards look than longevity.
For clay starters, Nanoskin Autoscrub is best.
I prefer Megs Ultimate Polish over SwirlX, even though SwirlX itself is great.
I haven't used Jetseal but I'm absolutely in love with Megs M21 Synthetic Sealant.
Shampoo of course best to get any Chemical Guys.

To emphasize my point, this is about 4 hours of dust at my place! Combined with sun and extreme humidity / dew as I live close to the sea, it kills the paint.

Guys iam watching videos on utube and they use some alcohol mixuture to remove the previous waxes etc ..what is this solution is it available as a product in the market and is this meguiars glaze an abrasive selant or compound??

They use a diluted solution of IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol). IPA is commonly used in hospital and clinics to clean up bacterial etc. You might find it in Chemists shops easily.

The use case for it to remove oils from polishes. Polishes normally contain oils for lubrication and before applying the layer of sealant or wax, it is used to remove any oil residue, which might be sitting on the panel, so it does not get trapped under the wax or sealant.

IPA is not used to remove wax.

You can keep a dry microfiber to buff it off, or fold a microfiber in 8 folds and use different folds for wiping and drying. Both are good...

The more microfibers you invest in, the better it is...

Meguiar's M7 Glaze is not abrasive. Yes, it's available in the market. It was actually intended as a dress-up polish to bring shine to old single stage paints. It brings immense shine, is not abrasive and not lasting at all.

I have this product but don't like it. Mainly because it's not a pleasure to work with this product. Here is my car 'wearing' Meguiar's M7 Glaze:

Washed and waxed the car today. Took my brother and I 3 hours to do the whole car. Really tiring stuff.

Some thoughts:

Its really really really difficult to apply wax to a white car. You never know if its on there or not so you end up either overdoing it or missing spots since you think you are done but you actually are not.

2nd, even my wax pads are dirty with dust now since the car was practically padded with dust by the time I started with the wax process. The dust in Pakistan is a very troublesome and real thing. Not sure if protected the car with wax or just practically dry dusted it with wax

Dear Detailing Gurus and Sirs.... I have some questions..

I have a Civic reborn with pearl black colour, recent purchase and was not taken care of very well by the previous owner aesthetically and not protected from elements very much (parked in sun too much).. So the problems,

1. Dashboard is getting white/faded, + rear dash paint (plastic panel with the rear windscreen) is getting cracked..
   2.The outer plastic trims are all hard + their colour is faded to light grey now..

3. Some scratches on alloy rims...
4. Swirl marks due to auto-car washes https://static1.squarespace.com/static/55821342e4b0d9710e45e01c/t/55a5cd80e4b086a3c2aa6df6/1436929408979/3 , some deep scratches caused by cats showing white undercoating, and some fine scratches..
5. The paint is very contaminated - perhaps not clayed ever in its life... Need scrubbing or claying desparately.

It is my daily driven car, and being a busy person I am unable to pamper it with wax and wash every week. Aesthetics are not a concern, I just want maximum and long term protection from sun, dust repulsion + paint protection, and lastly easy cleaning.

I have figured out these after some search, guide me if i am wrong.
1. 2. Meguiar’s Ultimate Protectant (Dash & Trim Restorer) – GEL -- For dash and trims...
3. Read somewhere that windshield need compounding. But I dont know should I get it done or not.... Or if yes, from where.... And will it worsen the windshield condition in the long run?
4. Not much important..
5. Confused as to what to do.... Scrubbing -> Either Klasse High Gloss sealant OR Diamond 9H Glass coating?
6. same as 5.

Please suggest me what should I do? I will apply glass coating myself because professionals are charging 30,000+ Rs (Rightfully so - but I do not want to spend that much if I can do it myself) .. Please keep in mind that I am a student so my budget is rather low 15000 Rs. I saw 9H MR Fix glass coating at Rs 2200.
Please advise.

EDIT: Glass coating option look most attractive to me. because a hard shell protecting whole body (wind screens, headlights, body etc) will help with dash fading + headlight maintenance as well.. Dont know the pros and cons of glass coating though.

EDIT 2: I already tried Turtle Black Box Paste wax, and it last just 3 days + two rainfalls.
