Please meke him try on his own car. China mitti is also known as play dough. Don't know about that but plumbers putty do work same as clay but the after effect is paint marring

I think the lid wasn't sealed properly that's why it has gone bad

Don't use it from the top, You can use the unaffected area if you want too but it's better to throw it away

Just got around to fixing a few issues on my wife's car. Some rather heavy water spots on the hood, which wont go away after trying vinegar scrub and clay.

It was parked somewhere near a water fountain and the front end got water spots thanks. Luckily, the rest of the paint was in pretty good shape.

I also needed to freshen up the sealant on the car, as it had been a while, since I applied wax to it.

Necessary pre-wash - Ready for inspection
I usually give a good wash after foam cannon. This was followed by IronX spray and nano scrub for decontamination.

Car is ready for inspection prior to paint correction.

Shows there are many tricks to hide paint imperfections, if one desires so.

Clarity and pop up in metallic black paint

I had to compound the hood, as polishing alone couldn't remove the water spots. Compounding was followed by polishing.
