Run a fingernail on it and see if you can 'feel' the scratch. If you can, then it's gone past the clear coat and cannot be fixed with a good compound (even turtle wax rubbing compound will do) and polish. If you cannot feel the scratch then it's a simple compound rub and polish.
If you can feel the scratch the the next best thing is to either leave it or get a paint chip kit. I usually use a Dr. ColorChip System or a ChipEx Kit which would have to be purchased from abroad - they color match the paint and give a touchup kit.

Otherwise I say get a dental swab tip (Like cotton buds / Q-Tips but very fine) and try to source the same code paint locally and use that for a touchup. Not too difficult - loads of YouTube videos on it.
