Plz guide. For a new car, when should i start using pre wax cleansers or polishes before waxing and once started how frequent? My car is a two months old. Till now am applying only wax after wash.
Which wax?
And I think we should once apply polish after 3-4 weeks of buying a car and then with wax top ups
turtle carnauba cleaner wax
Can anyone suggest me how to remove the swirls on a black color. Please Recommend something good but not too expensive. I am using Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell, but not finding it that good to remove the swirls.
Thanks in Advance
obviously that's a LSP, not for swirls etctry a good AIO, like mothers Ceramic 3-in-1 Polish & Coat or meguiars AIO or collinite 325 etcand keep in mind, without DA, this needs decent force to get the job done
You don't need a pre-wax cleaner or polish when you are using cleaner wax.Not even for an old vehicle.
what are the shortcomings of a cleaner wax? what am i missing?
if that wax has abrasives, you will lose a bit of clear coat every time
has it? turtle carnauba cleaner wax. and if it has, should i stop using this as my car is new.
depends upon the product, I have not used it, so can't say anything about it, whether it's light or medium cut
A cleaner wax is not really going to be cutting like a compound or polish. Its enough to remove traffic film etc, but not enough to remove any serious scratches, scuffs etc, if that makes sense.
Cleaner waxes contain abrasives for cleaning purposes only due to their fine nature and they leave a layer of wax behind. Hence you don't need to use pre-wax cleaner or polish before using such products.
Obviously But still there's difference in all cleaner waxesSome do nothing, only chemical cleaners, no abrasives Some are good in cutting and you can observe difference after 2-3 passes
Insane dew in Karachi DHA these days. Approached my car which had been parked outside and was perplexed to see that there was more dew left over on the rear screen compared to the windscreen, even though the rear was facing the morning sun and should've been drier. Then I recalled that I had applied Fusso Coat to the windscreen couple of weeks ago whereas the rear is untreated. Fusso clearly doesn't last as long on glass as on paint, but man does it work.
Yes. That's also as per my understanding.
And a wax that contains chemical cleaners is great for maintaining light colors (when used in moderation).
Anyone wants to sell his used meguairs gold class carnauba plus paste wax please let me know. My pocket dont allow for new but i want to try it out. Thanx.
I need a little help, i have a civic x and its rotary are pretty rusted, i have 18" wheels on it so it's very clearly visible.Any advice what to do.( cannot take off the wheels )I have tonyin' wheel cleaner and tonyin's iron remover.Any advice?
Usually rust goes away itself when you use the car and apply brakes. Rust appears only after car wash or when it's not driven for sometime.
There are products that can prevent rust formation but the ones without lubrication are not available in Pakistan and lubrication is bad for rotors due to obvious reasons.
Alright man thanks. Also one more thing. My car is ceramic coated for 3 years with gyeon double layer coating.Someone said to me to get it polished every 3 4 months to increase the coating life. How true is it? I have tonyin ceramic crystal wax and meguiar's cleaner wax. What do you reccomend?
