Anyone tell me please how to clean wheel arches, springs, suspension side area, brake disc, brake cliper? In short whole wheel area except tyre.

APC ( 1:10 Dilution wrt water ) or Degreaser. Remove your tires to get better access to the wheel arch area and use water to hose down any loose dirt. Spray the APC/Degreaser and let it do its thing for a few minutes. Get a brush and a old rag and get in there and start cleaning. Once done, spray with water. I personally use a high pressure air blower to remove all excess water.

You seriously need a pressure washer for undercarriage cleaning otherwise its a lot of work to do. I dont own a pressure washer so what I do is take the car to service station tell them to lift it on Hydraulics and just cleans the wheels wheels wells wheel arches and undercarriage donot even dare to touch anything else they will charge 50 more than usual but this gets the work done

Tell them to wash the under carriage with high pressure water ( no oil / diesel spray ). Once done, take the car home, spray the degreaser in the wheel arches and get to work.

I do have a car stand where I can access the car from below with ease at home so that's a plus. Also, we have a water boring machine due to which insane water pressures isn't an issue. I can use a valve to adjust the water pressure. Honestly, I've even stopped going to service stations walla.

Even suggesting that method should get you banned :o are you aware of the consequences of what diesel/kerosene oil have on the rubber components Of your suspension and what could happen if either Of these enter your shock absorber?

We keep suggesting water based products to people here. Know why? Cuz they don't attract dust like the cheap oil based products do. Guess what spraying your cars underside with diesel/oil does? It might clean the car after you are done with it and it will definitely make the underside shiny but by the time you reach home, say hello to the thick layer of dust and bye bye to the suspension.

Spraying diesel anywhere is a car killer if its the Engine bay, under carriage, wheel arches etc. Cheap method, use the Astonish Degreaser. Its strong and does the job well. Only problem with it is, it may leave the rubber components with a white residue. This isn't something harmful but the application of a protectant is a must.

Currently I m using astonish engine degreaser it is best thing after that I spary mother's protectant and after all the process results are acceptable

Sir agr yeh method galat ha surf wala to bata to do atleast k its harmful for your car.. bcoz some people is newbie btw thanks for replying.

Din't think so, but if you have alloy rims, avoid detergents and instead use shampoo and microfiber cloth or mitt. In wells no harm as wells have no polished paint surfaces

WD40 is a good water repellent as well as rust inhibitor. However, due to low viscosity, it does not cling very well to the surfaces. It will work good (leaving undercarriage clean and shiny) but only until next time you splash water on it.

I feel it will get washed very quickly, which means this is not ideal situation for daily driven cars. But if you decided to park the car for long period of time, it will be a good solution.

My first time on engine detailing

Sprayed nanoskin degreaser ratio 1:10
Let it sit for 2-3 mins
Agitated dirty parts using toothbrush
Sprayed water using garden sprayer

There is some dust still sticking on head plastic cover. You can try agitating with a brush again. Do apply any dressing on it afterwards. In fact try to apply dressing on all rubbers/plastics in there.

Some parts are contaminated and some are rusted. Rust cannot be cleared by APC or degreaser. If there is no such danger of leaking the pipe, you might try something very rough on the rubber skin (more like wet sanding). But if you ask me, I would let these parts be as they are. A dressing would somewhat cover this up for a while but its not a solution. You cannot do much about parts that are permanently damaged (mostly rubbers). May be others have a better solution.

As others have already said, any solution cannot clean rust, as rust can only be hidden temporarily.

For cleaning engine bays, APC 5:1 solution is recommended. Dressing afterwards can be applied for showroom finish.
