During this time, took the car to Islamabad. Washed it there using the 2 Bucket method. Came back to Peshawar after 2 days. Washed it again. Took the car out for the PW Autoshow at Peshawar. Thankfully the venue was a 5 minute drive from my home. Not enough dust. While at the show, I gave the car a quick wipe down with my QD and Super Plush MF Towel before I exited the venue. The car has been standing behind closed doors in the garage since then. Took it out and hit it with a spray of water. Beadings still strong. Do not mind the light layer of dust.
Water sheeting depends on the product, angle of the horizontal panels (vertical panels dry up instantly) and surface contaminants (Dust actually stops water sheeting). In my case, the 201 has very flat panels and the car hasn't been cleaned. Yet still, the right and center side of the hood are almost dry after i hosed it down. Water sheeting is even more effective when the car has been cleaned and your shampoo acts as a lubricant to further enhance the sheeting. Also, hold the hose as close and parallel to the panels. This will reduce the creation of more water beads. I had to hold the hose a little higher and almost perpendicular because I had one hand to work with due to the camera and didn't want the pipe rubbing across the paint.
What ever the case be, this is quick way to end up with hardly any water on the car, meaning your drying towel will have less amount of water to absorb thus extending its life and also save you time and backaches.
