While you did the water spraying...did you cover any sensors or electronic parts exposed ?

JazakAllah bro................nothing was covered..........believe me I just used as less water as I could, the water stream was shielded by hand to give minimal water pressure an then air was blown crazily into the engine....thats it....I guess you have to be waqif with trouble spots to deal with them....hardly I used 5 litres of water on the engine......

Bought this Biloxxi orbital buffer from Metro. There is a promotion going on which offers machine + pack of 12 bonnets for RS. 2199 (saves i think 600 or 700).
Will be testing my workmanship over this weekend. i will be doing mothers Step II and Meg Tech Wax on my car. Had a few Q's before i kick off:

1) which cover is for applying and which one is for removal?...there are two type of fabric one is with fur and other one without..

2) how difficult is to apply with the machine ? considering Step II is a liduid and tech wax is paste. is it ok to apply with hand and then remove with machine..will it affect the results.

3) is buffing and removing a wax layer means the same thing ?

Jazakallah.

1. The woolen pad is used for application while the other one with a frill is used to take it off.

2. Application with the machine is comparatively easy. While taking it off is truly hectic as one still needs to do it by hand to attain a perfect removal.
   Using either liquid or paste wax should not be a problem. Pour liquid directly on the applicator while the paste wax should be applied to the surface. Otherwise, u'll end up wasting the wax. Also, always start up the machine while it is on the surface, never do it otherwise.
   A note of caution: Always keep a water spray with u because it is essential that u keep the surface slightly damp so as to provide lubrication and keep the surface temperature normal while using the machine.

3. By buffing, i m guessing that u r referring to cutting/'compound'. So yes buffing does essentially remove the old wax layer. But it also takes away some of ur clear coat. There are special purpose polymer-based de-waxers which do take a bite at ur clear coat but not as much as the cutting compound.

Also, never use ur biloxxi for cutting purposes, u'll end up with a mess. For cutting, u need a rotary at at least 5000rpm.

Hey guys, need some opinions.
For some strange reason lol birds just LOVE my car even if it's covered lmao.
Worst part is getting the poop off, it just won't go away that easily. Now I read somewhere wax will help. So here I am looking for suggestions. Which wax to use for this ? I currently don't wax but I do polish the hell out of it using 3M Performance. But bird poop .... that's another story.

@ Bad those look like very fine swirls.....scratches are usually visible to the naked eye an usually have some colour difference than the normal tone of the car.........since you mentioned they are only visible in light.........I`d go with the fine swirl theory......

Usman Bhai, thank you for a detailed reply! InshAllah, i'll b going for a thorough detailing in a few days. And here is how i have planned to go about it:
1. Clay bar the whole surface to remove any contaminants and minor swirls.
2. Go for Mothers Step 2 Sealer and Glaze to mask any remaining swirls and bring out the grains in the paint.
3. Allow a curing period of about 2 hrs.
4. Top it off with either Mothers Step 3 or ICE paste wax (using a cleaner wax here would only ruin the prior surface prep, No?)
5. Finish it up with a minor application of either Blazin' Glaze or Platinum Extra Gloss.

Please do share what you think about the above mentioned methodology and kindly correct any flaws in it.

Any1 here tried the Meguiar's Deep Shine Carnuba? I have been looking to switch from Mother's California Gold Pure Carnuba, any recommendations? I am looking for Meguiar's Gold Class Carnuba but so far no luck in finding one.

For bird poop removal, wet a tissue an place it on the poop, let it moisten the poop for a good 5 mins or soo, then with another clean dry tissue just wipe it all off after it has loosened.........use a synthetic wax,(mothers synwax or TurtleWax synthetic paste or liquid wax) they are a loot tougher than carnuba waxes......

Guys tell me one thing. How do you people dry your car after washing it. To me it is the most difficult part. No matter how much I try, the water marks always remain visible after the car is dried. Specially on wind screen and other glasses.

yar yeh aapa margallar ka totka istemal karo. woh sasti formula1 plastic polish khareed lo aur tyre pe spray kero. kapray sai dry kero. kuch deyr k liye chor do. phir ek dafa geela kapra pher do. tyre mai shine to pehle hi aa jaye gi magar geela kapra faltu polish utar dey ga aur mitti chipaknay nahi dey ga

Very fine swirls would get removed with swirl x or should i get ultimate compound, ultimate compound is abbrasive. I think my paint doesnt need such a chemical, you've seen my paint.
