The Second Detailers Meet

Date: 3rd August 2011, Saturday

Time: 6pm Onwards

Venue: McDonalds, Main Boulevard Parking Lot.

A great oppurtunity for the new members to come and discuss with us any problems, get advices, flaunt their rides, and have fun.

We might then go ahead with a drive on main boulevard, and then maybe for drinks to Hot Spot, Gadaffi

Today i got a chance to test my latest acquisitions:
1. ICE Wash Shampoo
2. Meguiar's Gold Class
3. Meguiar's SwirlX.
MashAllah, the results came out to be fabulous!!
ICE Shampoo: Removes dirt n debris relatively easily. The soaked mitt glides over the surface effortlessly. Puts out a great shine n slightly 'waxed' surface. No water streaks, in fact i witnessed some really nice water beading. Worth every penny and must have in the arsenal!!
Gold Class: The best carnuba wax i have used upto date! Really brings out the shine n the pearl in the paint. The surface feel is just too erotic :P. Application by hand suffices n i didn't feel the need to use any orbital or rotary.
SwirlX: Reduces up to 85% swirls, including minor scratches. Need a good rotary for the application unless one has strong forearms :D. Never use a biloxxi with it! Again worth every penny!

Starting from wash :

Formula 1 carnauba wash & wax shampoo( very good for a separate wash but I will not recon it before wax as i got oily & waxy ingredients.

For interior & plastic parts :

ArmorAll wipes & for shine my all time favorite "Son of gun", guy I used to moist all rubber channels to save them from cracking or dry out. its a good practice

7CF products : Carburetor cleaner & 7CF all purpose foamy cleaner (not bad)

Used engine degreaser (cant remember the brand name)

For tires I used Mother's FX tire protection & shiner (out class performance)

Scratch remover's : Mother's Scratch Remover: As per my experience its bit soft on our Khota type paint quality but it can do wonders if used properly with local compound(white color) & let me share my experience here with the

combination of :
Mother's scratch remover
desi white compound
formula 1 local tube polish (khuboo walee, 75 rupay kee)

make a khusta of three & it really work good on scratches.

Cosmic : My all time favorite really good for quick glow (easy to on easy to off).

Mother's carnauba cleaner wax & mothers FX SynWax.

Last but not least meguiars NXT tech wax 2.0

bro that desi compound is a clear coat killer. use it too much and you might end up with single stage paint

yes you need to kill clear coat to kill scratch , I never end up with single stage paint & it all depends on a person , his skills of application, amount of water used & control on aggressiveness with mixing it with other soft scratch remover like Mother's.

Ma-Fra: Diamond Plast Shine(Dashboard Wipe), MF Towels, Cristabel(Windscreen Washer concentrate), Extra Dry Chamois.
Turtle Wax: Carnuba Cleaner Wax, Polishing Compound, Clear Vue Glass Cleaner, Heavy Duty Car Wash, ICE Car Wash, Engine Degrease, Lemon Scented Pre-Soak, Blazin' Glaze, Hard Shell.
STP: Son of Gun, Octane Boosters.
Armour All: Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner.
Meguiar's: Gold Class Carnuba, SwirlX.
Liqui Moly: DOT 3 Brake Oil, Injection Cleaner.

@Aamir Bhai, I also do exactly the same thing. I use a mixture of that Total desi compound, Mothers Scratch remover and Formula 1 Scratch Out.
