As far as pure polish is concerned, i would advice you to use either Deep Crystal ( has polishing oils, which are good for keeping the paint fresh ) or Ultimate Polish, which has a minor cutting ability and lots and lots of polishing oils, specially formulated for dark coloured cars. And with hand application i doubt they would harm the paint.

As far as using abrasives goes, the point stands true: The cutting power is rotary>DA>hand application. And yes the time and pressure are both crucial for abrasives. The same compound can actually be used to remove the haze that it left behind when used with a different tool or a diffferent pressure. Also if you are using a tool, like a rotary or a DA, the pad that you would be using is also vital.

As far as hand application goes, i usually recommend microfiber pads. These are ideal as they dont leave behind new swirls, slightly enhance the ability to cut and run longer , especially if you require hard rubbing over tough swirls or hard paint.

The civic 07+ has a very soft paint though, you can get swirls just by having the wrong technique etc. Post the results of before and after and that would help people to maybe guide you abit, though i know youre becoming very very good at this.

Thank you for the kind words, have been using a lot of such products since 2005, but those were 3M products, NU Finish etc, have used the Megs professional line for the first time, and to be quite honest it is a great line of products. Loved it, and thank you, would definitely ask for tips when needed.

Deep Crystal would be around 1200-1500, not more than this.

@mani one can I received from very close friend in Karachi 100% guaranteed original , & for the other Can in Lahore ,district business manager came up to my door step to deliver me , after receiving complain & bumboo to there authorized dealer in badami bagh ,because they were quoting high and giving wrong information.

The main problem in our society is the abundance of do2# oils & I cannot take chance with oil which is recommended for something like 10K and also expensive , so that's why I make sure that I am getting 100% aik1# Mobil1

So what ever the oil you use just make sure its Aik#

price I paid in june 2011 was Rs/3460 for 4L. with free home delivery

Can you please help me in sourcing it. I am planning to change the oil this Saturday as the car has already done 600 km over the limit.

so have u tried toyota's petron? which brand u r using for now? how u compare petron to ur current brand n mobil 1?

PS I am using petron 20w50. Have poured it twice. at 5k n 10k

Yes indeed i asked for you to shed light on the whole pH value, because you were rubbing it in, btw you still havent told me the pH value of the car shampoo you use, now since you're into it too much, please tell me and all the rest, and also if you really wana talk about it, please also tell us what would happen if we increase of decrease it by 1 value, would be good knowledge:)

If you could read between lines, i HAVE tested the product on my car, infact the POSTER has tested it on one of my cars, and thus i gave a review.

If you actually would've been fond of how this thread, you would've known that how it works, we test the products on eachothers cars if we could, and then give a review, so if you're trying to act cool and think that im just posting online reviews like you're pasting wikipedia links, NO my friend, i have actually tested the product and in my post ive highlighted the pros and cons.

Anyway, get it and test it and post a review, im waiting for it.

dnt know about the new ones but the ones issued by federal govt are being asked to be deposited at nadra offices and new licences will be issued by NADRA however those issued by the provincial govts are still valid.
