Like mani1 said, to each his own, i'd like to second with that.
Ive already mentioned that i like my wax to sit on the car until every part becomes hazy equally. And my new GC takes quite some time. On the other hand my Manhattan Gold produces a haze pretty quickly.
The finger swipe test is definitely a way to check for that, but again the same objective/perspective comes into play, that to each his own
Oh no why would i think that you're taking sides or anything, this is an open forum and everybody has their point of view based on their experience. And it is always great to learn.
Yes curing time is related to letting the wax bond, but maybe that term caused a confusion , when i refered to the time when wax has been applied and left on to curing as well, should have specifically mentioned Application time.
I dont, neither do i think a lot of people here would have any expertise as to how much does the chemical composition is changed in the new GC, i was just telling him that his product is the outdated one, and a newer one is available in the market which says New and Improved Formula, and which takes more time to haze than the older GC.
Ive tested both the older as well as the newer GC together, with time the older one has become pretty dried, and it is one heck of a job to apply it with hand, although it goes on nicely with an orbital, but only once it is at the right temperature and melted down a bit. And also it dries pretty quickly compared to the newer one, personal experience, that is why i said to him that it might be the old factor kicking in.
It is completely understandable that what you use, or what anyone else uses would give a different result altogether, because of the direct and indirect factors which cant be kept constant.
Yes those demonstrations are pretty helpful, say 60%, but then again the real deal, the remaining 40% is when you yourself test the product and see for yourself. But then again the same concept comes into play, that to each his own, im not too fodn of online reviews, they might be helpful for people who are completely biased towards them, but i wouldnt trust those reviews until ive used the product myself.
