MashaAllah your car is looking superb. I remember seeing it once. I think the only thing to recognize your car are the 6 inch screws for the fog lights (obviously other than the number) :).

Hahahahaha, they'll stay there unless i change my front bumper and you know what, as long as i have that bumper, i am not scared of getting out on the road.. i'm all set to play dirty with bikers, chingqees and rikshaws.. lolz..

Came back from work around 7 am in the morning and decided to do a very small detailing session/try out a new product.

I wanted to try this product out in the harshest of condition seeing what can it really do. The duration/strength of the product and how long it lasts will be updated as well.

The car is City Steermatic 2007 I think. The car has never been washed with a shampoo, clayed, polished or waxed in the last 4 years. I dont have the pre treatment pictures but im guessing you can imagine the condition. The car was just washed with water and cleaned with a terry cloth and then a terry cloth was used to apply the product. I didnt use a shampoo or clay or polish or even a microfiber towel because i wanted to see how much can this product do on its own.

The detailing session took about 45 mins including the washing. The pictures will do the talking.

Brother!!! I guess this is yer first pictorial post here on the thread.......a question that really came to mind when I was reading the intro......Mate you pull it out of a tomb or somthin??? No shampoo, no wax, no nothing!!! Though if it was stored then not an issue otherwise.....:o.........undoubtedly I can imagine the picture you have portrayed, 4 years without care for paint is well in simple terms :-! mai bolda nai larai pay jani aay!!!
Coming to results....for the "Halaat" you have mentioned an to the condition visible.........guess this Meg turned out to be the jack of all trades.......the reflections are very good......maybe another run over will add a little more depth for my liking......but for a single treatment.....nice nice!!!
Will be waiting for other stats you have mentioned......lastly nice to see you have a lil of the "I want to bring the result out with the simple things" in you as well...........I often get into arguements with some mates who wish to use "ONLY THE MOST EXP AN RARE" stuff for detail...........an yet I`ll go with a very very basic polish an basic wax routine an well evidently foot in mouth situation occurs for em!!!

Ahan........this was below the belt stuff for a steermatic patriot........but hey looking on the brighter side, the car`s paint was able to take all that beating an "SOTELA" attitude an still hold its on..........YIPEEE!!! Count down is a go..........Houston.......the countdown in on 3 to go

I like the spray wax, and mashALLAh the results are great, but there are two concerns which always keep me from buying it,
1) how durable is it
2) how many applications would this bottle be able to provide

To be honest that was really rude. I usually dont post doesnt mean im an amateur. Ive been at it a few years and have a bit of experience. I'm not denying that I have nothing to learn. I learn every minute. I just wanted to see how good a standalone product can work.
I never mentioned that the shine was going to last a month or anything. I tried it specifically to check its durability. If i wanted a month out of it I would applied wolfgang etc which i all have.

The car belongs to a friend who lives close by so we decided to test the product on it.

So mind the sarcasm next time.

Thank you. As far as the concerns go, I had very similar ones, but I picked it out for a different reason. I picked it up as a replacement to my quik detailer. A 15 min waxing job which gives results like this I'm very happy with it.

How durable it is im yet to find out but if its any more than a week or so Im very happy. The NXT tech wax hardly lasts 2 to 3 weeks to my satisfaction. But then again my car is comparatively less driven, stands in the shade etc.

How many application, with how much ive used today, im guessing it should go to about 20 applications. Thats almost 4 to 5 months if i do it weekly even though I plan to use it for "acute" phases where i really need a great shine in a few mins.

Lol. I agree the car was not kept in any care, though it underwent its regular servicing and tune up from the company. He has alot of driving to do so hardly gets time for it. I thinks it has clocked 100k already. My 9 year old civic hasn't clocked 54k yet. As far as the product goes yes it was very good considering the first application. I'm not sure the paint would improve any further if I layer because the paint beneath needs lots of grooming which might come up in a few weeks.

I completely agree that a routine basic wax can give very good results. I'm just a very loyal fan to Meguiars because of the experience ive had with their products.

P.S. Just remembered, the fragrance of the wax is pretty good. (hint to someone :p)

Yeah I do get abit touchy about my detailing just like you are about the steermatic which I now understand I guess. I shouldnt have been so harsh, you are elder to me so im sorry for that.

Il try taking better care of that steermatic :). Already decided to do a full blown out detailing session on it so that its a bit better than dalda
