Hello friends..

To day i had a chance to catch up with @AHMAD_YAR at his place in Lahore surrounded by leafy green trees and very quiet location, he welcomed me whole heartedly. This was the first time i was meeting him in person besides lots of friendly coversations on this thread.

after sitting few minutes in lush green garden, Ahmed Bhai suddenly got up and ran towards the tap and said.. " Yes - - Pani aa gaya :). Then he forced me to bring my car into his garage. He insisted so much that i eventually brought my car in and then saw Ahmed Bhai with his weapons being brought out.... Out of blues, i saw him cleaning my car, with water running over it and rubbing with soft hands with a fresh clean micro fiber to get rid of all the dirt that it got accumulated yesterday ( as it was raining in Lahore). Then he srted the shampoo process and all the time i was asking to let me do it but i think he goes deaf while he is working passionately on the cars. As i didn't has any cleaning stuff in my car so i was helpless and he was not giving me another microfiber or any piece of cloth.

Well, shampoo was done and in that process i managed to grap the water hose so i started rinsing the car. By the time i was rinsing the boot, Ahmed Bhai already started drying the hood and again he was in NO LISTENING MODE. Eventually i found a microfiber and started drying the boot and lower end areas.

Then came a shine in Ahmed Bhai's eyes as he was holding bottle of glaze...(reminded me SULTAN RAHI holding Gandasa - and saying oye chada gaa nahi.....)

I again asked to let me do or try it but as he was in NO LISTENING MODE he glazed 90% of the car. At that stage an Entry was made by our famous and one and only Vague_one (usman Bhai).

after greeting he took an eagle eye look at the car from all sides and said.. where is the Turtle Synthetic Car Polish,,,,.. and wasting no time he started waxing the car,,,,, Now it was Usman Bhai is NO HEARING MODE as me and ahmed bahi insisted so many times that let us do it but noway man that was hearing.

Well, waxing was done,,,,,no came the time to take the wax off...and guess what who did it... not me, not hmed bhai,,, it was again Usman Bhai (and he was fasting today as well) and still full of energy and passion and taking wax of the car.

Usman's way of applying wax something to learn from, very very thin layer and all even. Some experts wont get that thin and even layers with with the machines tht usman got with hands.

eventually, the car was done in no time and now it is bling bling. All this was not scheduled or anything. it was just a catch up and it ended in this exciting excercise.

After that Usman bhai departed to check some patient ( i mean car) and Ahmed bhai was ready to eat after working on my car. He already did 2 cars before this excercise and we had mouth watering delicious home made KEEMAY WALAY PARATHAY and in desert we hadd home made hot GAJAR KA HALWA.

after having all the yummy in our tummy, we concluded the meeting and i came home to give it a mother's carnuaba coat.

Well Ahmed Bhai thanks for all the hospitality today and Usman bhai really appriciated your arrival and your passion for detailing.

Great Team work , Phar kayy heee Mazaa aa gayaaa, Just thinking how much you Ppl enjoyed , you are really lucky , as you start straight away with high end detailing, i still remember the old days when I used to safe my pocket money to buy any kind of wax & tried it on Dad's ride.

1/8/2012 was a really confusing day for me. I was planning on detailing my car after finally getting all the stuff together for my detailing session, my first proper kit, and rain happened. I watched it happen as time went by. stupid rain. my car had stuff growing on it since i hadn't washed it in a long time (6-7 days). Last wax was applied about 20 days ago (the gap was with intent) so that it gets off completely making room for the new stuff. Well, detailing didnt happen. but i did get a break and managed to give it a wash. It looked pretty
The finish has been kept with love, it's not perfect but i'm learning. Black is tough to keep but halalala when clean. Almost no swirls at all. Consider this an introduction to my humble meanie (rofl). The BlackBox will hopefully be applied by tomorrow, followed by Mothers step 3. My camera went retarded cuz my niece put some jam in it or something, plus it was cloudy. Or, perhaps, the camera couldn't handle my car's skin :p. Here are some pics after washing with Mother's car wash and drying with a chamois.

Brother JazakAllah for the respect.....nothing of my own, all Allahs blessings......now my motto in anything in life is, if its worth doing, its worth doing properly...I lay a loota requests down an alot on pending.....reason being maybe Im not in the groove, maybe Im short on time but I only detail when Im high on the bug.....as for knowledge....just like gas, better out than in...:P....JazakAlla my bro for the kind words.....I keep my rules on life simple....an its stays good an clean....Alhamdolillah! NAA man the words were from deep within n no waxing (buttering!!!) lolzzz . i really do have great respect for u as a person n would love to meet u on my next trip to lahore INSHAALLAH!! yeah ive been looking for the wax for long n my tin is breathing its last breaths!! had gvien a tin to my helper in the house for his bike!! he kindly gave the half odd tin left with him back to me(the one seen in the pics of cruisy!!) in return bought him a full tin of KASMIC n he got happy!! WIN WIN situation!! lolzzz . Thanks for liking my ride.its nothing extra ordinary just like my ride clean n shining all the time!! weekly wash n wax n thats it!! as far as depth is concerned what will u recommend to achieve it? Meg Gold Class n top it with detailer?i know uve mentioned in somewhere in the thread but i cant spend another month searching again !!

Yes it is so true. All my school college and uni buddies are abroad and i was only left with 1 friend here in lahore with me. thanks to Usman's thread, i am now friend with him and ahmad yar in person. Plus plenty of friends on this thread and most of them will be comming to gtg tomorow and BINGO...a new friendship chapter will start.

next ill show u what i achieved with the 3 steps i did on my elder brothers ride! Black XLI 2007 which was recently sold. the car was parked in our ancestral house. My father had hired an old fella of the village who would come every second day to wash the cars n he literally raped her paint!! would wash the car with ordinary water and a rag.would dry the car with the same rag and would wax her in months with the same rag that too if they know i was coming as i would get bizzirk seeing the condition of the car. this was going on since the car was newly purchased.had the car delivered to me in Kharian and i felt like weeping after seeing it. the car was parked, by one of the SAYANA's of the area who was told over the phone to do so, at a place where the bonnet would get 6-7 hours of direct sunlight from May till Nov. it had two covers on it and my bro n dad were satisfied that its safe!! the car was parked for 6 months like this. the bonnet had gone very hazy due to heat of the sun n some illiterate wax application!! imagine the blackwax tin in Cruisys pics was purchased in Mar 2007 n it was still half full when i found it in the boot after nearly 5 yrs!!u canhave an idea of the amount of wax applied in 5 yrs!!.. bro had to come for a month from england so got the car over in Kharian as he had to put up with me. swirl marks,dull dirty paintwork n the sunlight ad ruined the car like hell. though the car had only 33k on the odo. it had a resprayed rear right door n the rer fender. treated her by first washing with plain water and used scratch out to remove the swirls and minor scratches' then applied the carnauba.waited 12 hours applied the Turtle ice and topped with carnauba again. next day washed with plain water,dried with MF and applied carnauba again. after two days repeated the shampoo,ice and carnauba. the next day washed with water and again carnauba!!! see the results of a 4 day paint treatment from me!!

Chad na praa, I just did a little wax, indeed Ahmed bhai was the hardcore dude here.......the car was meticulously done.....bhooth alla glaze hui wi thi, an the wash was spot on.....couldnt find a single flaw in it.......Hats off Ahmed bhai, tussi great hoo! JazakAllah for the kind words bro....for depth nothing beats a DODO, try Purple haze or Super natural....both are good for your ride....it will be a bit hard to source....meanwhile you can go with the GC an Detailer spray without searching for a month!

I see quite a lot of detailing freaks who have entered the scene! I still remember the days when this thread first started! hats off to you Usman Bhai! InshAllah I'd be joining you and Aamir bhai at the GTG tomorrow!
Well then how about i plunge into the technicalities of detailing?
About de-waxing, Mistero here mentioned the use of detailing spray for de-waxing. now my question is that mostly the detailing sprays like platinum series from Turtle Wax contains carnuba n polymer base which basically acts to form another layer over your old wax and enhances the depth, so how can it remove the previous layer?
Yes, it might contain abrasives to cut the previous wax layer, but will they be enough for a complete de-waxing?
A thorough explanation will be deeply appreciated.
I use Blazin Glaze or Turtle Wax Heavy Duty Car Wash for de-waxing purposes. Usually, special purpose degreasers are availabe for de-waxing like 3M's General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner.

Oh this is just the start, the generators body, the radiators top, the housing for the coil, the distributor all will be chromed.....like I said Im going haywire this time around, want to put enough time an investment into the engine alone that it takes the limelight from all the bigger cars combined...:P....vagues gettin loony!

Oh heck no man, you dont wana know what I was doin when it started to rain, I was in the parking lot of the office, with the glaze in hand, an was glazing the ride....in a suit...:$....man the guard is like sooooooooooooo amused, every 2 hours or so, I run down, pop the trunk open, take out the glaze, an do an panel, an run back up, I had done a side an the roof when the drops started to pour.... detailer meet par mai gandi gari hi laani hai, ive got 8 details to do from now till 10 in the morning tomorrow.....esp as some cars are to be used for weddings....:( mera pataka chal jana hai, prolly turn up at the gtg in a dangari, smellin of wax an polish with misc white residue spots in my hair! Khair, coming to your ride......ye wash kay results hain?? :'( anso agaay aisa result dekh kar, MashAllah kiya depth mari hai bhai nay! Alllaaaa, the car has been kept with a loota love, wow! My car, to be honest, about a year ago, i really didnt know that there existed a world beyond cosmic and formula. I thought herbal essentials was a good shampoo.:-# Then i came across your thread. I felt so proud seeing all those jobs in there and stuff. But back then, i was working more on my car's entertainment stuff so didnt start immediately. But later on, i caught on with your thread and educated myself. Got some polishing compound, and gave myself a fresh finish to work with. Since then, i've been feeling some real strong symptoms of OCD myself. Started slow, but with the right techniques, knowledge and products, i feel much more confident now. So basically, if you like my work, it has alot to do with you boss
Any yes only washed and dried with a chamois. I couldn't do the wax today because was stuck with family, but hopefully i'll sleep early tonight and wake up for namaz and start my detailing. The plan is to be there at the gtg

Dude we are very much alike i get that alot from my family as well, balkay mujay to pagal boltay hain saray cz when ever i see a wet street i always turn back for an alternate route :P , my family gets really annoyed bt i jus cant change my slf on that, aur baarish mai to wo mujay kehtay hain isko to rehnay hi do......
