My personal advice...black pur detailing ka maza hee kuch aur hai...but you want real eye candy in detailing...go for Red...which I believe is like CANDY for a sweet toothed detailer. In the world of detailing yeh resale walee bateein sub bakwaas hain...white aur black ziyada jaldee biktee hain..abhee amir lady in red kee sale ka naara lagadein and I can bet everything I have on the fact that it will be sold faster than anyone can say "No resale of red"

But black is good as well...love the results but very tiresome daily care...

Coming to red actually this specific code of Red Lady is bit different for red of Toyota & other brands , It also came in few 2007 civic , yesterday after Lunch we saw 1 civic of same color & no1 was believing that its a same color as Red Lady , but actually it is , but red lady was completely in differnt color & mood , indeed there is lot of potential in Red and its also not common , as yesterday it was only 1 RED

& yes black is treat to detail , but its an every hr cleaning color

omar bhai nice words, touched straight to my heart :), before marrage all consideration to cars but than Allha blessed me twin daughters, though in last 10 to 12 years Allha pak blessed me alot Alhamdullila , more than my capabilities or my expectations but gradually all considerations diverted to twins better education, giving beter life to them , secure their future in fact everything decided by Allha but still parents tried their best to secure future of kids, you would wel aware what difficulties usualy girls parents face in our culture and socity but this thread and u guys awake my sleeping insect so INshallha going back for reasonable sedan, bhai jan in xli only 2 colours black and white so no choice, Inshallha in next 2/3 years i will upgrade to altis or civic than will go for any bright colour

Amir bhai and 2 brothers silver civic wale bhai ( sorry forget names) they were our hosts as they lives in bharia town they escorted us to the main venue point in BT , amir bhai and kashif bhai so kind to brought drinks and we enjoyed to touch skin of every car, engine bay, music systems, detailing stuffs, some r18 pw group members also joined us and we all enjoyed their engine bays with many modifications , did photo sessions , amir bhai/ usman bhai planning for the lunch but so bad I got call from one property dealer for the deal of my plot in izmir socity ( near BT) so had to leave and could not join for the lunch, though physically I left from there but my heart left behind with u my brothers

Sir red is rewarding while black is not...but in your case it is beyond the color...the lady in red is sporting a special AMIR RED...just like Ferrari red is an unusual red (in Pantone it actually has a defined CMYK property and in the dictionary of colors it now has an official place)...and the Amir red is special because of all the effort and tender loving care put into it...it has history...a history of a million loving wipes and a gazillion loving stares.

Me...I am contributing but more than that I am evolving and learning...long distance to go...I think my true experience has started from yesterday...i used my first A class products and multi coats...saw first hand for the first time how a flat mirror shine looks and then how that true depth and wet look comes out...took out a scratch but put four more...dried the car perfectly but still sealed in a water drop...so sir learning...learning...without you guys I would have been just another guy with a peeli dabbi standing in the cue at the service station and the goth would have been just another black civic with a body kit...

but come to think of if you guys wouldn't have been there then the Goth would have been a civic with moded lights (initially planned to be purchased on this dubai trip), performance chip and would have been lined up for a later upgrade to a stage one turbo kit...but now all I can think of is detailing products...all modification plans down the drain...

relax...not even regretting it for one second...infact detailing has made me really light footed on the throttle...can't fool around in a car which I am spending a cumulative of 10 hours plus a week in detailing...

So thanks to you guys I am now not just another shoda...but a BLING BLING SHODA

I was almost ready to leave for it but then my cell rang and there you go...... a call from manager and the order was to be at office for some very very high priority task. I asked him if I could come in evening the answer was no as other team members already agreed to be at office by 11 am.

Left home in hurry and forgot cell at home :(. Sorry Usman bhai couldn't update you because of this reason.

Well this tip was given to me in my early days by Vague himself. I do not question his logic but try to test it and decipher it on my own. If I do not get it or understand it then I nag him with repeated questions

Well as per my logic how this works is (Usman correct me if I am wrong)...the detailer has carnauba and polymers but it is highly diluted. Most of it evaporates the minute you spray it and the what remains brings out the shine in a good wipe. So when we take the wax out, the dilution helps loosen the hazed wax which we need to remove and that unneeded extra layer from the detailer evaporates as it should. Shining agent mixing with shining agent is actually good as both compliment each other and as both products are supposed to bond with the paint and are from the same family. Using anything else might actually screw up the newly bonded wax layer because of different ingrediants, different objective (clean vs shine).

Brother, first of all JazakAllah for the trust in my logic and advise.....an I dont mind the questions.....I loved your questioning on my advice, you did it once as to why I didnt recommend Goldclass instead of 3M...........thats where all the learning is....as far as you have explained....spot on dude !!!

May be I am bit more in experience as I used to save my pocket money & buy different polishes & test on Dad's ride & than when I bought my first bike , original tanky-tappy off 'n' saved & after market tanky-tapn on bike & than polish then separately , after market on bike & original I used to Polish in my room & than again pack them:P.
May some part of above history is also reflecting on the Red Lady , still doing experiment & learning one example this time I did Carnauba Glazing with speed wax & than apply Orange crush on top of it details are on Red Lady thread.

It was great to meet with all my friends after such a long time, Amir Bhai, Usman Bhai, Jaggi, Faizan Bhaiyya, Junaid, Tayyab, Umer.

But the real fun was meeting the new faces, especially the konsultant ( sir thank you very much for the great drinks, loved your city ), ahmed_yar ( it was great meeting you sir, and you give a new meaning to the colour white ), shazo ( yaara royal news mein hamara bhe koi chance lag sakta hei? ), shicks ( yeh bhai apni hi team kay member hein, same brand even ), Jugnoo ( first ever isloo detailer ive met, great sense of humour, mazza a gaya baat cheet ka ) and the indigo brothers, saad and fahad, han bhai phir 12.5 pey tak tak deal on hei? aur mera DOST naveed, next time black city detail kar lena meray bhai, warna Focal utar doun ga lol.

Overall had a great time with everyone, sorry if ive missed out anyone, my sincere apologies, it was good to see so many detail freaks, keep it up guys!

Finally you people get to know me, its Naveed Chaudhry with the dirtiest Black Honda City 2007 at the meet ;p Well, I came to say thanks to Usman Vague_One for detailing my ride on the very next morning to new year'e eve, I could tell he was in a hangover from last night's party hence he did not do the whole ride himself Joking usman bhai.. ;p

Aamir bhai Accord7362, for a wonderful time both at the meet and lunch table, thanks for the food, although it was not fair that you paid for us.. will definitely look for the red Honda City in Lahore now.. My ride was parked next to his and it gave a perfect contrast of being dirty and neat I felt embarrassed for a moment but then I felt okay cause it pumped up most of the detailers to do my ride

Yawar Bad_Cheeta, thanks for the advice man, the only audiophile I could spot at the meet, next time you'll see the ride in lashhh pashhh state don't worry.. and if you don't bring your Honda I would steal your ride and your girlfriend lol for not answering my calls..

In the end, I would like to thank everybody, most of them were new to me.. everybody was excited and had fun.. And believe it or not, I followed my GPS to the venue and it made me follow a route through bhatti waal.. WTF, I drove through a village, people and buffaloes were starring at me.. and I promised to myself never to follow my GPS, this was the reason I was late.. still I drove through the bumpy and dirty way, there was no road, I thought where the f u c k is bahria town on my GPS.. It was my second visit to any society out of Lahore lol and I am bad at remembering ways..

And Umair, man, not a single picture of me and my ride among tons of others? Not fair

Hello to All Detailing Crew Members and Friends,

Thanks for making this gtg a success. It was a gr8 pleasure to see most of the members at one place and thanks to Usman bhai for creating a such platform.

The best thing about this gtg was that people came from all nooks n corners of lahore and to add more to its joy, we had a member who came all the way for ISB just to join us.

Everything went as per schedule, plenty of cars to admire, plenty of products to see and lots n lots to learn from everyone's day to day experience. Plenty of picctures were taken and those who missed this opportunity can judge from the pictures that the visit was worth every single dime.

Shiny cars with decent crowd made this gtg a life time remembering event and oneof the best i have attended so far.

Thats again to everyone for joing and contributing their experiences.
