being sales manager in a leather tannery i would take this pleasure to responce you
furniture / car seat leathers having 4 basic stages
natural crust, dyed crust, finishing and protective layer
if not maintain it with proper leather protectant/ enhancer than by wear and tear and time period destroy this protective layer and leather finish comes out ( same like car paint having clear coat on top and once you destroy such layer by usuaing low end abrasive waxs than paint came out )
you can find wide range of "leather restoration kits" from department stores in dubai or u can go to any leather furniture store for such kits
usualy such kits contain 3 steps
1) cleaning
2) colour coded dye stuff
3) sealent
u can get application instructions on back of each bottle however usualy they are like this :
1) cleaning
use any soft foam pc or micro fiber , spray cleaning liquid on than and gently wipe on leather surface, u can repeat this process if required.
2) colour coded dye stuff
this comes in differnt colours so u have to choose as per your requirements like by picture it seems black.
with any small pc of cloth you can apply this on effected area ( u can apply on whole to uniform colour code if u like ) than let it dry naturaly or u can use hair dryer for fast recovery
3) sealent
this usualy transparent liquied which bound with surface and gives good colour wet/ dry fastness properties , u can apply this with any pc of foam or micro fiber and let it dry naturaly
to maintain it buy any reputed leather protectant/ enhancer for car interior and use at least once a month, you can get it from any car detailing shop or department section. this enhancer usualy contain sealents and transparent oils to keep fresh look of leather enterior.
