okay guys tell u a little story. 3 odd yrs ago my ex ride (black 2008 civic) got a minor dent which was removed by dry denting.a hairline scratch was left. I told the chotta to apply a compound to remove the scratch.he applied it and wiped it. The denter came back and was furious saying why he had done that. Then i realised why he had scolded him.the area where the compund was applied on the scrach,had gone mirror clean n plain whereas the area around it was different. Apparantly the chotta had removed the orange peel and as Hondas and almost all production line cars have orange peel. But what i noticed was that part had gone mirror like and very good reflections. I understand why orange peel is caused and its basically a paint defect and has to be rubbed out . Car manufacturers dont have time and also save on the labour that goes into removing this and just spray the clear coat on top of the untreated paint. My query is what if we remove all the orange peel with a compound polish/buffer etc woudnt that give us a mirror like finish. 1 disadvantage i can see is that the mirror like reflective surface would get easily scratched as the orange peel hides many small scratches into it. Ur comments plzzz!!

MashAllah......Jaggi bhai....be very thankful you have a brother in the face of Aamir Bhai......I was truly saddened to see your cars condition....then upon downloading the pics an viewing them closely I realised they can be fixed...I was content.....an went back to work to call you later an ask you to come over for an hour or so....but yeh kia? When we'll go for resale people will say REPAINTED...yeh to original paint nahi hai...lol! There are so many idiots out there! and finally when he will be explained and convinced...imagine his horror to realise that half the paint coats are already gone.

And it will not be just a paint correction job it will be a whole project...every nook n corner of the car will have to be done...but then I'm forgetting I'm talking to a guy who installed cruise control in his car as a DIY

Personally as long as this defect is 'original' condition I'm okay with it...personally I wouldn't buy a car with many microns of paint gone especially if it's part of the daily driving team.

Oh btw as a follow up to the rolls picture I'll post the full car picture and a new Ferrari California's pic...you guys will be shocked...this problem is not only a jap n pk problem

Sarkar last time I sourced it locally for 1,600.....availability....well woh to aap ki mehnat hai....Optimum will have it, but be ready to shell out premium prices.....No its not necessary to have a machine with it, you can do it by hand.
