Imran arrived and went straight to working on the chrome of my car...watch out guys...Imran is one detailed detailer...I am highly impressed...his personality is very calm...and yet he is full of energy...Met for the first time and trust me this guy gives out so much positive vibes that the minute you meet him you want to open up to him like an old friend...

He had promptly arrived at the given time...and instantly he got down to my car...he gave her a smooth bare hand touch and wipe...I could see that touch was an expert's touch...he instantly pointed to a few things which I was ignoring for sometime by asking me a very intelligent question..."omar bhai aap yeh black plastic area kis cheez say polish kartey hain?"....urrrr ummm 'detailer wipe say" lol! Didn't get a polish for that single and sole piece of plastic panel on the body...just prefer to keep it clean....looks like I'll have to invest in it.

Armed with his handy dandy yellow candy rubber glove (due to an injured hand), a toothbrush and his speed chrome cleaner and polish he can be seen in the pic working on the lugs of my Rims...this btw is within the first 5 minutes of meeting each other...

The logo in this pic is not off place...it is conveniently covering the izzat of our dear friend Imran...the least I could do for

lagta hai meri kuch zyada hi tareef ho gayi Arey sir G i am not a proper detailer or expert type. Bas its the passion of detailing that persuades me to try different things and keep the ride clean. Coz i believe detailing is not only paint protection and bling bling only, but its all about all those granularities and minute details that require cleanliness and result in a true example of a showcar... personally i dont like even a single dust particle on cockpit, so that dekhney wala yeh na kahey k car has been detailed, balkey he start believing k car is new

Online, we had the skype set up on a big tv...and to welcome us was a big smile...AHMED YAR...was witnessed first time with a MOVING perspective...bhaijaan daadi (not daadi as in grandma mugar daadi bolay to sohni) smile hai...keep smiling forever...Usman was with him and so was Rizi...

Sadkey jawan is smile toon...Mashallah.

Awsome image...! Depth and reflections simultanously captured in a fabulous way....

Inside sat next to the ocean infact on top of it on a wooden deck...ordered doodh patti...then ordered light snacks...we were supposed to get up early but as Samir described in his post...we ended up sitting there for like 3 hours...discussing everything and anything underneath the sky...from detailing, Pakwheels to personal experiences and life stories, from Karachi detailing scene to health issues and tips...from banking (yes banking...Imran is a banker) to film making and cameras...to EVEN FINALLY NOMI ALSO STARTED TALKING...

Looking at the dew, I wisely put the cap back on the shutter and put the camera back...and just when we were about to say goodbye...we entered into the realm of detailing products...I wanting to end the evening by stealing the pinnacle moment...opened up the goth's boot to reveal my complete arsenal but then Imran decided to upon up his hood and our jaws dropped...he took away the night with his zero meter like engine condition...simply marvelous and breath taking...an alto engine with no fancy schmancy electronics can look this beautiful...I had no idea...had packed up the camera...so no pics...now I am actually feeling sorry that I didn't take a pic.

Khair we then went through the products...it was mostly show and tell...and oh btw Imran gifted me his bottle of that Speed Chrome polish and cleaner...thanks bro...I am touched (my first detailing gift) it will definitely be applied with excitement on Sunday Inshah Allah...

the discussion lasted an hour almost and at around 11 we said goodbyes...and we left a session in which 4 people had gotten together as great friends who had actually never met before, from a third party view it must have been as if these guys hangout regularly because in those couple of hours we had no age differences, no cultural differences, no background differences, no ethnic differences, no religious differences, no social differences and no political differences (all of this is pretty unusual for a karachiite atleast most of us karachiites) and I loved it...........

The meet was a wonderful day to remember, and infact the Whole credit goes to "The MisterO" who shifted the paradigm of the meeting (H) who really made this succesful event possible. I met him the first time and instantly felt that my frequencies match his, and thats when i knew k khoob jamey gi dono ki:)

Smart, Outstandingly genious, and marvelously creative and a kind & friendly mate to be with.

@back to Imran...bro that is what I loved the most about your ride...NEAT...CLEAN...Ever wonder what the DETAIL in DETAILING is all about but watch out I am getting there and hopefully will soon give you tough competition

And the civic wrapped in chrome...you know the product...my most extremest thanks to Usman...this is the product that I made the call for from Dubai to him...as I had read about it subtly mentioned in a lot of his detailing posts...I saw the range and I called him right from the shop... so I got this product because of his guidance...ub iskee application ka jo experience hoa that is another story for another post (coming soon)...but the teaser is that why did it take me 8 hours to detail my ride...this product has a lot of contribution towards it...

oh btw...the remarks I made about it in the Skype session...when he asked me did I like it over everything else I have used and my answer was yes and no...well I called him later after coming back from the Meet/GTG...and I took the NO back...this product by far has the best result that I have seen physically or in pics...no doubt about it...the last best detailed ride that I saw in person was the new Maclaren MP4-12C...in maroon...it was like as if the car was chrome and was wrapped in a thin layer of maroon gel paper...well the goth mobile gave me a similar feeling that evening when I took it to the photo shoot...

however, I'll talk more about it when I write my review for it in my detailing session write up...

You had a very long and tough day but I salute your dedication. And sir JazakAllah for the kind words. Indeed we are all lucky that we have a brother like Usman bhai. I tried to keep the car clean as much as I could and it was still a lot better than other cars (same model) on the road. Its a lot more difficult to bring out such results from such a ride but........ wait ............ Usman bhai k hath lgay to phir car saaf ho ya gandi, kya farak perrta hai............

PS its been 3years my car hasnt got compounded or annythng els except a little treatment of carnuba by speed autocare nothing els than that

I think the car in question has gone under the hands of Khurram once....I remember it being done on the thread right here.....anyway, I dont think you should go for a cut, just give it a good polish, that should be more than enough, its an old car, the paints not gona be too thick (if its genwan :P) .....what buffer do you have? An orbital or a rotary? What brand? Variable speed? An when on this thread, DO NOT COMPOND PALISH! For the love of detailing, COMPOUNDING IS ONLY DONE IN EXTREMEEEEEE SCENARIOS.......! This is not one of those EXTREME details......Go for a mild polish an wax.

Regarding Goth , what I can say , speechless:-# I need to visit Karachi to meet GOTH as I know the boundary line where equipment failed to synchronized with the original beauty, I think some where I read through the word "Pinnacle"-# Allaaa ,Alllaa Sir G & the final product which make you tired woooo 8hr's Sir G , you C when you move patiently towards depth how reflection stands beside you in the end you really start talking to black & GOTH , great effort Sir & great stuff , loving it

Now the first pic...the sister of this pic you saw as the teaser...Imran is one difficult guy to grab hold of in a picture especially if you are shooting at a slow shutter speed...first one he just gets off...and in this one, despite telling him to stay still...he has to rub the car!!!... He was fast...faster than quick gun murugun...armed with his detailer...he was constantly on the prowl...but Imran bhai...it was not high noon...it was after maghrib...kuch rahem sarkar...if you note in almost all pics till now...either Imran's MF is on the car or he is wiping his car...abhee tuk is garee ka READY SHOT NAHI HOA HAI...

peyare bhai ur car is in perfect condition so dont think for "polishes" polishes cut the paint and its not for your car, just think better waxs and play with waxs only ( latest lesson from dr v1 exclusively for me )

Ha Ha , I also had the same attitude when i start detailing , I also wont let the ppl go near the ride if its dirty , but believe you in me, my brother Samir , even Mud make a different pattern on waxy & shiny ride , dont worry even if ride is dirty ,it speaks for it self & MASHALLAHA you got a beautiful white angel & the main thing was your attitude which drove you all the way to meet 3 idiots to make it four :o;)

One guy had spotted us...three idiots admiring a Civic, an Alto and a Vitz while the rest of the devil's point walee awam were looking in the other direction drooling at the 350zs, rx8s, skylines and heavy bikes...and not to mention the weekend CD 70 wheelie masters...

so bhaiya...one guy yani Mr. Samir aka Raging Ravin nay khamoshi say aik jaga garee park kee aur chup kay tehelltay hoey hum tuk a pohnchay...

But what he didn't know was that I had already spotted his white eagle eye...and bang it was brought on the record...

and what a guy he is...again young and full of enthusiasm, a student who is flirting with the idea of going into business and he can talk and talk and talk...jo thoree khamoshi see chagaee thee...all was history, the session ws revived again with his entry... and then we rolled into a series of discussions standing right there in the parking lot...

finally all cars were parked like insaano kee carien...

Samir, wouldn't let us even be close to his car...the max distance allowed was 10 feet...garee gandee hogaee hai...gandey haath lagein hain...final wipe nahi hoa hai...the minute he walked in the door...bang I was out again and took this snap...sorry Samir...but yaar is distance say the white looks nice and clean...

The shine is quite natural.I'm pretty much satisfied with it's shine.Unlike local interior shiners which make your car look like a taxi.Local interior shiners will ruin your interior in future.When ever i take my car for a service the workers there offer applying that famous local shiner in the interior.I straight away refuse them.Yeah it's applied free of cost but no one would want to get the cheap shining look!Will post pictures soon.

okay Soft 99...unfortunately mujhay @poster bolna par raha hai...itney pages guzr gaey hain...I've forgotten whose query it is...

I started my detailing two months ago with soft 99...Usman say regularly sarcasm bhee bara liya hai...but I kept on with the product for two months...perfected my wiping, buffing and application with it...

I liked it and I was able to do a lot of stuff which was astonishing...I was eventually able to mask swirls and even lighten scratches...or as V1 had put it in his skype ka khitab with us "used wax as a glaze"...if used properly this wax can do everything.

however, as Ahmed put it rightly...the life is hardly 3-4 days...I used to extend it with multiple detailer wipes.

Didn't mind it and loved the product till I got my hands on some real products...you use soft 99 and you'll always be happy with the results...but the day you move to a proper wax or synthetic that day you will realize what you have been missing...yeh jo mirror feel aur depth walee batein hotee hain...I got to see them with my own eyes the day I used some good branded products...Soft kay saath buhat kuch kiya but never knew that such results even existed...it's like never driven a porsche and thinking that Civic is one damn fast car which can beat everything else...the day you'll drive a porsche you will actually experience speed...

Price difference not much soft is 800 -900 and good waxes start from 1000 such as ICE by turtle in synthetic and Mothers natural (smaller tin)...go for them instead of soft...

and by the way easy on and easy off...well sure soft is easy...but I found out that good carnauba is even easier...

I even sneak out during office time to go down an give the car a detailer spray wipe….the lot attendant just shakes his head side to side”loo pagal agaya jay fair”….Your attention to detail is highly remarkable….from that Im guessing when you do actually get to doing yer ride, it must be a gleamer! JazakAllah for taking time to come over to the meet, I guess KHI members now have a bar to keep up with…..to the cleanest Alto in Khi! Awesome effort…..outrageous results….undiminishing energy….attention to the tiniest details….you have all the makings to excel beyond me….boy o boy, I`m getting nightmares about shifting to a suzuki now, you guys are that good!
