Let me clear out a common mis-conception about waxes and polishes.
Both are two different things, but we usually in Pakistan use the word polish frequently, even though we mean to wax.
Polish is something which cuts a little bit of your clearcoat to smoothen out the swirls and scratches.
Wax basically is a protective layer onto your clearcoat.
wax is not at all abrassive, where as polishes are, according to their application.
You can wax your car even two times in a day, but too frequent use of polish would harm your clearcoat.
Now you need a wax after clay/cleaner system.
There are two types of waxes easilly available in the market, 1) Pure Carnauba 2) Synthetic waxes.
Pure carnauba is said to have a greater depth and shine on a car, where as synthetic waxes bond to the clearcoat for a longer protection against UV rays, bird droppings and dust.
My experience with carnauba is great, extremely great, but one draw back is that when you take your car out, esp a black car, it tends to catch dust a lot. I think synthetic waxes dont catch too much dust ( let someone confirm though )
You could use Meguiar's NXT synthetic wax or Mothers Synwax or Pure carnauba, california gold.
Meguiar's NXT gen synthetic wax = 2100
Mothers California Gold Pure Carnauba = 1800
Mothers Syn Wax = 1300
Turtle Ice synthetic wax = 1300
All products are available at Autoline + Saca on montgomery, mothers products are also available at metro thokar.
