how do you guys wash engine,is it easy?
i never tried it,so my engine bay is quite dusty n dirty

New addition in my arsenal

Bought sonex and mothers California some days back

Today got Meguiars ultimate paste was with microfiber included in the box

Also added 1 double sided and the blue microfiber as in below pics

Last time I did following and results were amazing sorry for no picks but next detailing will be shared

And after the week time shine iz ultimate

InshAllah will do same 2mro but this time last one will be ultimate wax and 3m hand glaze in the beginning ( the one black bottle in below pic)

yes BOHT barra gunah hota ha engine saaf karne se

chodary sahb yes i wash it by using surf becoz those black colour dnt dissapear wid shampo
after that i put it in cold water for some time then dry it by sunlight
and it can b use times and times again

u can use soap as well to clean the pad , and yes it is dust due to which the pad get black .
Although v wash the car with shampoo but v are not living in a dust free environment

There's hell of valuable knowledge tips and tricks in this thread. But everyone cant got through all the 779 pages of thread. So why dont you guys update your first post with detailing products against price to performance ratio?

That will be profitable for new bie's like me

sochna kiya hai,engine saaf krney ka khiyal kal hi nikal diya tha

Yaar engine saaf kerne mein mushkil kia hai bas alternator and ecu ko shopper se pack kerain engine decreaser spray karain then make in a bucket and clean the reachable part using bushes and hands then rinse the engine with water and let it dry in sun light or switch on the engine after 10 mins to let it dry ..

judging from ur reply regarding the paint, id say find someone with a paint depth meter to see if it is repainted and if it is painted then is it given a clear coat

usman bhai has seen the car but when it was covered in dust,ask him about it

I clayed my car about 4 days ago then put a generic cleaner wax and carnuba on it. question is]My car had such amount of crap stuck to the paint that when I was claying it was turning the lube reddish brown and the clay itself was becoming black in about 10 swipes. A detailer freind of mine said to use quick detail spray to lube it, while I was using a bottle of megs car wash and water and spraying it, I also was hosing down the area immediately with water to flush away.According to the detail nut whose car I had just fixed, I was not supposed to use car shampoo, is there any science behind it - because he couldnt answer and I believe the lot here is far more sensible.btw - cheap chinese blue clay was used, got it for USD 5/- for 220 grams bar. It really cleaned the paint work though.

Xulfiqar, bro, since you have tons of experience of cars with you, Ill advise at a much higher scale, you see the reason why it isnt recommend to use a shampoo solution is the surfactants in the shampoo can affect the clay, degrading it and massively increasing the risk of marring. Personally I've had no issues with the mix of demineralised water and car shampoo. Though over here I must advise that not all shampoos work with all types of clay-bars, you just have to find the correct dilution.

For all beginners, please stick with claying lube.....the advice given is only for the above mentioned post and for only the concerned person keeping in mind his experience.
