had a detailing session today finally
i wasnt getting the chance to apply wax #26,even today my program cancelled first but i started detailing at 8pm

washed with turtle ice shampoo
applied stp tire foam
n finally waxed with meg's yellow wax #26
i dont know why but when i started off,pad was like kind of stuck n later it was getting harder to apply,so i applied more wax n started on bonnet n then it was quite smooth,dont know if it was because wax was finished on pad or something else n i felt hard to use this pad,once i used a handle with the pad with which it was pretty easy to use
finally took out my supreme shine n used that to buff off the wax n it was so smooth,dont know it was the wax or the supreme shine but it was very smoothly buffing off the wax

little help here

i dont know how but when i had a look at the pad it was little black :S
n i had a pretty hard time washing it to make it all yellow again,washed it with hair shampoo,almost 3-4 times n i dont know how any1 washes the pads esp to get off the blackness
i use mf cloth to clean the lower areas of car n it gets very dirty with big patches of mud n when i dry those parts then my water magnet gets black :S that explains why the pad also gets black i guess
but when i already got my mf cloth all dirty to clean those extreme lower parts then why water magnet gets black drying them :mad:

while applying wax sometimes pad gets wet due to water on some areas,does that effects anything?

Meray bhai, as far as I get it, there are a couple of thing going on here.......the blackness rubbing onto the pads...

a) improper washing (dirt remains on the surface and transfers to pad)
b) you havent buffed your black box out properly
c) the clear coat on your painted parts has worn off and its actual paint transfering onto the pad.

i shampoo the car twice + water magner wasnt getting black except when i dried extreme lower part

buffed black box 2-3times thoroughly

how to know if its option c

@choi saab, why dont you clay a small portion and then apply GC, if ur pad gets black thats ur paint coming off

not to mention that sometimes the cosmic pad picks up some grime thats left over even after shampoo, one day i had this problem, gc failed, cleaner wax failed, glaze didnt react to the paint as it should have, i was with a detailer friend at that time. when we gave up i thought that in all those pre detailing days there was something called cosmic that never let me down and it again worked, after an hour i applied gc and it worked

To tell the truth I started detailing with cosmic at the age of 15 and still love the shine it gives and after polish when house fly comes around:P I use cosmic as a base coat cause it helps to lubricant the paint after that 3m paste wax after that turtle hard shell wax liquid

i have been detailing the car at night time so didnt knew if i left out something
i noticed today there were black marks on right back fender,on trunk n on left door,i tried a yellow cloth on them n it got removed so most probably those black spots are left outs of black box,though i washed the car last night but now i can see lots of dust on it,so should i buff that after the wash or clean the dust with mf cloth n buff it
now i'll have to find it on whole car
btw i heard wax gets off by washing the car then how is it left out or is there any way to clean the left outs of wax since i'll have to find where its left

also i noticed there there was no black mark type thing on roof infact it was the area from where paint vanished :o found it on another area of car as well,does that makes pads black as well?

btw why does water magnet gets black while drying the extreme lower parts,i know they get all the mud etc so mf cloth gets dirty while washing but water magnet getting black while drying :S i dont think i wax those areas

now since this car is used mainly jealous a**** are putting scratches on it,as i noticed scratches lines etc on it

whenever i shampoo the car,i dont notice them maybe because of night time but when i see the car at day time then they can be seen clearly,how to clean these stubborn water dried spots :mad:

whenever i wash the car,i dont know how but headlight gets water in it

paint sure has faded from some areas,but dont know if its coming off because of my waxing it

@chaudhary9: Your car definitely needs to be compounded (some places need sanding too)..

We can't do anything to prevent the scratches, the best one can do is use a scratch remover or a sealant/wax to mask it.. My car has a sealant + multiple coats of wax on it and still someone at my cousins house managed to put a long scratch on my car's trunk...

Elien drying of waxes on car surfaces too soon indicates oil deficiency. cosmic is very oily and it buffs with little streaking, it basically quenches the paints thirst to a point that it absorbs oil slower and lesser so when we wax with higher quality waxes which contain more caranauba, the wax dries slower so it is easier to spread the wax evenly and it buffs off easier. baki har paint ki apni marzi hoti hai, try this on your car it may work out really well.
