Use a cleaner wax or a claybar to remove this hard stain.

EDIT:
Get a claybar for this. It looks like hard water marks which a clay can remove.

Presenting the chilli-red...after a 4 hour session...including wash, dry out, Mother's Step-3, Meguire Quickdetailer coat, under the hood cleanup, interior detailing with Meguire's Quick Interior Detailer and finally the foamy polish on the tyres.....

JazakAllah bro for the kind words, though Im much far behind Aamir bhai an Ahmed bhai.....Aamir bhai has way much more experience than me.....heck I know how tough it is to keep RL in such a condition.....amazing amazing work on it....an the new Ford......from red to blue....an Ahmed bhai, well yeh to chuppay rustam niklay.....MashAllah came from basic prods an look at what hes playing with now.....just a matter of time before he takes over the crown!

The proper detailing order is :

1-Wash
2-Clay
3-Wash
4-Compound
5-Polish/glaze
6-Seal
7-Wax

#26wax fall in #7 , so you are moving totally downside / up

Actually most of my younger brothers are loaded their guns with LSP and that also from the professional series and top of the range , what I thing one should master himself/herself with all the products which came under LSP,
I used to clay
I used to glaze and clean ride with carnauba wax
Used to do glazing with different styles
different style of application
keep the surface low profile & always imagination that LSP will glow more
Always keep the high end products for special occasions

& last but not least never give verdict on any product as there will be million reasons by which same product will act differently on different surface.

up there is the prime example by which one can "Bud-Dil"" or under estimate the product

very nicly define the importance of surface preparation , its realy true most of our brothers here giving more attention on last stage products without knowing fact that withour proper surface prepration these lsp prouducts cant produce real effects and outcomes

mostly we talk here are finishing/ show car waxes who dont have much life specialy if applied on un-prepared surface
i experince even cosmic wax also reflect good on properly prepared surface with good life compare to expencive brands on un-prepraed surfaces.

you realy highlighted a basic need and now its time to go back basics

SO what is the purpose of Polish and wax than..............

First memorize one thing: Polish removes a thin layer paint and the crap above it. Wax protects the paint like an orange is protected by its peel.

Have you ever seen paint with a lot of hard stains and no shine ? A polish is used for restoring the shine to the paint and also for removing stains, swirls, pollution along with a part of the paint. It comes second in abrasiveness after a compound and should only be used when necessary, for example, when you buy a second hand neglected car or when your paint starts to appear dull and you want the shine and look of the original paint to come back. Polishes can be applied by rotary buffers, dual-action polishers or by hand. Polishes do not give any protection so a layer of wax should be followed immediately after polishing.

After you've polished your car you wax it. Why? Because the paint surface is bare and there are more chances of getting swirls and oxidation. Do you know how fruits are protected? By their peels, shells etc. That acts as a sacrificial barrier between the eatable fruit and the air. Wax does the same thing. It protects your cars paint by providing a barrier between the airborne contaminants and the paint surface. Wax fills in the microscopic pores in the paint so that they don't get filled with dirt and other harmful stuff. Also, it causes water beading which is a test for wax presence. If the water flows down by spreading on the surface (forming large pools) then there is no/very less wax present.

The purpose of waxing and polishing is to ensure a high resale value, increase paint life, more protection, love for your car......and there are many other reasons.

how much clay kit cost ? what about availability in lahore ?

Go for mothers clay kit as it has two clay bars. You can get this for about 2000 rupees from Autoline in Sunny plaza on Montgomery road. Don't go for meguiars yet.....there are fakes in the market....it costs about 3000 so fist use mothers.

after claying i did wash the car. but this was done last weekend when i clayed the whole car up and then washed it. spent a good 3 hours on claying. and then before eid spend 40mins on claying the windscreen etc. so difference is alot better than before but i still feel that the shine is lost where that over-spray hit. even the windscreen (clayed 3 times by now) still has some of that over-spray left (like 5% is left). Gonna do the bag test today. i reckon the meguiars is a bit too soft for my use. waxing took almost an hour. did the whole care first and then buffed it up. even did the windcreen As far as gloss goes........well few sections are shining very well but some still lack it (i guess overspray is still stuck in there). So any advise on overspray thinggy ? And i am not using a D/A buffer all done by hand Feels great to be part of this detailing thing. i am hooked.

Welcome to the addiction, I have a question, why arent you able to remove the overspray in one go ? How old is it ? Yer megs clay, where did you get it from ? How old is it ? Are you you using proper lube with it ? I was painting my pajero at home an ended up puttin overspray on my new city, used a megs clay an it was all clear in hardly an hour, google up video`s on how to clay, think yer making a mistake there.....but dont clay the paint now, atleast for a while, perfect yer waxing techniques....get some oils into that paint an then go claying.

My detailing knowledge is only very limited to the basics and is nothing compared to what you know. I'm still a beginner and have a lot to learn and have used a handful of products until now and i can guide someone for those products only. I'm like a baby who has just learned to walk.

For me, detailing is still something new as i came to know about it this very year in April i think. I was fed up by seeing the swirls, dullness and overall dirty look of the car so i searched on google and came to know about miracle towels or microfiber cloths. I thought......can this kind of thing be available in Pakistan? I have never seen anyone use a microfiber rather than the cheap 20 rupees cloths commonly used even today. I decided to order them online but thats when my brother found your post! Your post had so many pages and after reading the first few i realized detailing products are available here! I went to Saca and bought some turtle wax ICE products (after seeing a 'how to wash your car video' on youtube) in the summer holidays and started using them and was very impressed with the results. For this i respect and salute you.....without this post i would've been lost before i started. Then i started googling the products i bought and realized there are many brands of detailing; some good some not so good. I read all your notes and found them to be very helpful. I had some queries so i posted on this thread and got help from fellow pakwheelers. Since then i've been posting here and love this thread. Its the only Pakistani thread i could find which discussed detailing; otherwise there were many other websites but i wanted a Pakistani site. The End
