Aamir bhai, need a small suggestion from you since you have owned and cared for honda city like no other.

Bhai, when I wash my car, water gets inside the side view mirror. It accumulates there and drips very slowly from the underneath of the mounting shaft of the mirror long after I have dried the car.

This often causes ugly salt remains on the door surface. What to do to avoid this dripping?

Question also for Ustaad jee V1 as he as the most (H) city in PK probably.

I recently did some detailing.
Washed the car with Turtle shampoo.
Massaged the Turtle Crystal Polymer Glaze with Biloxxi buffer. Took off the glaze with the same.
Then I applied Optimum Opti Seal and covered the car.
Plan was to wax the car the next day, but did not get time.......after one week I washed the car and covered it.
Next day I put on a coat of Mother Step 3 Carnauba Wax and covered the car. Next day I took off the wax with microfiber.
Finally did a coat of Optimum detailer with few drops of Opti Seal. (Ahmed Bhai's formula)

Pics are below......and yes I know there are few places where you can see wax left behind...

get a shopping bag (shappar) and wrap the mirror in that when washing.

simple soloution get ur self a blower or blow air from ur mouth to get rid of the water in tight ends this is what i do btw i do it with my mouthb:D

V1 and ahmedyar guys what do u say about this (silver is the best colour for detailing cause it check the detailers ability to bring out shine )

Great work! You really took the shine out of that paint! I love the way the sun reflects in the first pic.
How much time did you give to the mother's step 3 between application and removal?

How am I supposed to clean it then? Cleaning obviously needs some water to be sprinkled on it and no matter how less I pour over it, the issue persists.

Are you sure you followed the opti seal on top of a glaze ? No wipe down ?? No surface prep as such with either a chemical or abrasive cleaner ? Who advised you the above procedure ? :s

I'm going to be surprised if this lasts a year with the above procedure .. Sure the reflections are great right now because you have almost "a new clear coat" on but... Please clarify ?

Nobody advised me. I am just trying some things. I do not expect it to last a year maybe a few months. lets see how it goes.

Regarding surface the car has been clayed in the past, cleaner wax many times and mothers step 2 polish was used once.

Why one day?

In the past I have always applied wax and buffed off when dry to a haze. This time I wanted to see the effect if left on the car for some time. I have read many people leaving the wax for 2 - 3 hours so I wanted to try with a time lag.

Indeed, one of the most unrewarding colours to work on, I guess pretty much only the level of gloss at times is the most we can measure the car by.....so i`d put it like this, SILVER COLOUR IS A GOOD MEASURE to weigh in a detail!
