The product that you used is expected to last for years and not a year. Plus you wouldn't be getting the full potential of the product even in terms of gloss let alone durability if you don't follow the proper instructions provided by the manufacturer.
For future reference the car surface should be viped down with 15-20% IPA depending on the purity/quality. It removes all the oil from the surface providing the best surface to bond. Giving the longevity to the product. Personal experience a 1 and a half year old opti coated vehicle still beads water when I checked it last month.
A complete claying just before the procedure a good prep provides the highest gloss possible surface.
It's an expensive product too.
Don't take me wrong I'm only criticizing so you can improve as much as you can. You are using the highest quality products. Achieve the best you can out of it too.
