Car Care and Detailing Dreams

Bro, dish washing detergent is not something you use on a car. Yes, it will give a very thorough cleaning and 'chammak' but its not meant for paint so will cause dullness in future. Using this once in a while is fine; by "while" i mean a year or so. Stick to a proper car wash. Just some advice.....take it or leave it.

car washing / drying process are most critical steps in whole car detailing process as most of swirls and light secratches happen to appear in these steps due to wrong method and inappropriate products use.

main aim of weekly car washes is to keep clean car skin from dust, tree spa, brid droppings, brake dust etc and lubricate the car skin so they do not secratch the paint while washing and drying process.

dish detergents are not good / safe option for this purpose as they specialy designed with stronger chemicals / agents to clean the left over "sallans" from our dishes, means they having de-grezer/ de-waxng agents in them, use of these products make the car skin dry means swrils and secratches while washing and drying process and after some time dull the paint and remove the protecting coatings, also cause rust etc

on other hand speciallized pupose built car shampoos not only give good cleaning but also provide enough lubricants to paint which help to rinse away all said particulars harmlessly from paint, having balanced ph values etc

what i observe we give most attention to expncive finishing waxes while ignore most critical part in whole detailing which is washing/drying with right technique / right products in this way we can keep our car skins swirl free for comparitivly longer time means will save our extra efforts / money for car compounding and polishing etc

in my humble view we should not use detergents for car wash , infact a lower quality car shampoo like formulla 1 far far better than these detergents and sure good brands shampoos best options with extra care to car skins

As i said it was an accident and before doing it i mixed it with the Astonish car wash and wax...so i know you people are right and i wont do that again..but it was sort of experiment....and i shared it with my all brothers here....And i am far from yours experience brother i have just started and will strictly follow your advice's but it was and accident......

MashAllah, well maintained ride....considering the age factor, though youll have to pull yer sock up, the girls in this thread are a bit junooni about their cars looks, gota looong way to go my man!

Okay so Washed with Dish soap to get rid of all existing waxes and glazes from dealership
Clay Bar using Riccardo Clay Bar, Water/ Optimum No Rinse as Lube
Polished with Scholls S17+ on a yellow B&S
IPA (alcohol) wipe down to get rid of all oils in the paint due to polishing
Protected with Opti Guard (you have to authorized by OPT to use this which I am)

As far as I know driving your car in Pakistan cause swirls There are dust particles on the paint and when you drive the car they rub against the surface of your car cause minor swirls.

can water wipe be used after the rain?
though i hope i'll wash n wax tomorrow finally if it'll be a sunny day

If water has not dried or left spots then you can sheet the water off using a hose and after drying do the detailer spray wipe. But if its dried then its best to wash it first because you never know what contaminants are in the rain that may harm the paint surface.
